A1 has a certain feel about it that keeps me coming back to it every now and then (more often then not thru vbs2).

I liked the feel of sahrani as well.

@stewy, glad you liked the pics.

No, I'll stick with A1.

A2 is too blurry and I hate the over the top "reflections" of shiny objects.

Also the voices are terrible and so is the interface.

A1 suits me nicely!

You know you can turn off the blur and the bloom in the settings. Ill agree with the voices and interface though.

Got it with the ACE map collection I think...will check...

EDIT - here you go! http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=3000

They're great maps - but a few of the maps have "wooden floor" sound when you walk through bushland - but the ones that work are excellent!

oh ok..I was already looking for it but did not found it in the Islands list of ofp.info or a search there and on armaholic.

Some of it look like the WRPtool Islands I made in OFP-R :D especially the canyon liked on...always had fun flying throught it.

thnx for the link I'll see if I try it one of these days :)

*edit. I searched on armedassault.info not ofp.info :D

Great to see you're still here, Shadowy!:bounce3:

Having a blast (literally!) with Viper's Artilley system. If you don't have it, you've got to get it!

Advancing to contact...

Surveying the damage...no one survived the artillery strike.

The "drop shorts" in action ;)

One of the diggers...

A -Aavark SASR, AAW Steyrs, Swiss Faces, ACE OFP Islands, Iraqi Republican Guards, Warfare Objects, Stewy's Base (unrl), UK Camnets and Viper's Artillery!

Dunno if I have vipers but I do know I have 2 artillery thingy's in some addons folders...must check them out again it's been years since I really used it :cool:

Haha - nice one!

A section attack is a lot easier when you put 10 rounds of HE air burst on the hill first!

I love the "crump" sound of the arty too!

I used it alot on the Sakakah map in videos/screenshots series...I deleted all these videos from youtube else I would show it....but I think there should be some screenshots of it.

Lets see if I can find it back in the photography thread :rolleyes:

Maybe I'll do a remake coming week I 'm tired of the games I play now anyway..december is a nice month to play some arma again :bounce3:

Great pic with the brass everywhere, ShadowY - reminds me a little of the end to Lord of War

I've been meaning to get that addon for ages so the brass remains. Is it good?

Does it affect framerates very much?

depends on the settings of cartriges/shells you put in I think...mine is 5000 but have to check that to make sure.

When you have a hard time to see it or must zoom in closeby something is demanding to much...

EDIT*

Finally found that userconfig for it......2000 it's here

---------- Post added at 16:37 ---------- Previous post was at 15:51 ----------

this is my settings in the ArmA/userconfig/DFS_cartridges/performance.hpp

//Deadfast's Cartridges - User Performance Settings

//Define the maximal number of cartridges present at one once:

//0 = Infinite

//-1 = Disabled

#define DFS_cartridges_maxPresent 2000

//Define the lifetime of created cartridges:

//0 = Infinite

//-1 = Disabled

#define DFS_cartridges_lifetime 0

Scriptwise you can change thinks too I think for surten ammo of modded weapons.

How is it going stewy with the DFS_cartriges?

Problems finding it or installing?
