Hmmm, I don't think you have suppression scripts as default ? Or am I mistaken ?

Anyway, if CWR's goal is to bring back OFP, it does not include ECP, which is a specific addon, even if it doesn't break gameplay (in my opinion).

@Sickboy : hehe no prob smile_o.gif It's also a good news you might have a look at some suppression scripts/addon. I know you are a far better scripter than me, so I hope you'll come up with something less buggy.

Regarding CWR, I just retested it and I find that it lags much more than ArmA, on my computer. Is it because of Malden's vegetation ? I use low poly plants from Kegety, maybe that's the trick ? But, as far as I know, even without Kegety's addon, Vanilla ArmA has better performance.

Units details or any other influence, maybe ? Are there any scripts added to CWR ?

The performance I get on Malden is pretty bad, I have to lower my graphics settings for it.

I think it's the grass. The grass looks very good, but it seems to come at a price confused_o.gif

Could you guys make the grass lower detail, at least for the 'normal' shader detail setting? Kegetys made a good looking and performance friendly grass model that was included with lowplants.

We had some trouble with that grass, because there was a problem that we called "clutter bug". The sat mask layer was partly over the clutter layer and the only way we found to fix that was a config value which defines the visible radius of the clutter. We need to increase that value and that is probably causing the performance hit. Other reasons could be the Elite imports which are not optimized in their section count. But mainly it is the too big clutter value which will be changed in next release i think.

Yeah i noticed the lag too.

I had convertet a mission from OFP Malden to CWR Malden ( 45 Groups ) and i always had only 25 - max. 34 fps.

In ArmA ( Default ) i have a mission with 116 groups on Map Sharanie and there i also have 25 - max 34 fps. but this are 70 groups more.

Anyway nice to hear you guy's are already working on this. thumbs-up.gif

well i just would love to have the AA warning sound you had on with ecp mod just before you would be blown out of the sky from some random AA soldier tounge2.gif

also flares like in the bas blackhawks would been awesome too.

the rest of the features are nice too but not as much needed imo.. smile_o.gif

Hi, i though that we'll have that kind of features (flares, smoke from

APC's, warning sounds etc) in the game when i bought the ArmA

and i'll like to see 'em back anywhere Mod or not. Let's C ya

Has anyone made a shortcut exe for this mod? I would like to make a shortcut which combines patch1.09 beta, CWR037, and CWR 0.80. Every time I run the shortcut supplimented by the cwr install I get an error message that I need 1.09 patch, which I already have installed? What exe should the execution be pointed too? Thank you smile_o.gif

It looks like you have forgot to add "-mod=beta" to the shortcut.

Without it version 1.08 get`s loaded, as 1.09 is a beta-patch. wink_o.gif

Or use the CWR_on_ArmA_Betapatch.bat, that should work for sure.

Does that happen with an single soldier placed on map too?

There is some pre-beta stuff included in the download, that is not more than a placeholder, like the T80 for example. That units should not be used, until they get an update.

Well this all seems to happen in the Malden map. All other maps/islands work just fine, including the winter map they released works just fine too... icon_rolleyes.gif I really want to play the CWR Malden. Also all my graphics setting are on hi. EAX and Hardware accel is on too. <---Like I said all the other maps work with this setup, except Malden.

@Bigstone: Do you use the lowplants addon? Remove "sara_grass.pbo" from the lowplants folder. It isn't needed in 1.09 and seems to cause some crashes in CWR.

Its coming along nicely, we've recently added some uaz's from TheSun, t80 from kenji, OFPman has updated cain and its looking gorgeous and some res units. Almost all the Elite content is now loaded into the recent builds, so the missions and campaign work can begin.

We still require some people, doing various model type work like weapons, and vehicles. Ebud recently stepped down so we will need someone to work on the units. Were moving along, not at the speed of light mind you but were holding our own. If you feel you want to help us out in any way please send me a pm.

There should be a blog update in the next week or so.

Hi, as i don't have any Beta patch installed i can't play or use the

CWR Mod and the only thing that i know about... are the screens

that i see here and there. This is what i've seen on what seems to

be the SOC (day) units:

The Boonie Hat and the pans pockets.

As far as i know, only the english, australian and new zeland commandos

wear the boonies like that; the rest of the world uses to wear those

boonie hats with the hat wing over the eyes, risen; not the part

over the neck. Why...? to be able of see what you've over you

or what may be above your level when you're getting close (ie:

buildings, windows, upper side of the threes etc) and the pants

pockets; i never seen anywhere, never, someone (guerrilla or not)

with OD green pants and woodland sides pockets in his pants.

I guess that's something that will be changed soon... but... it

looks weird. Let's C ya

If you study the picture closely the pants are not OD green, but infact woodland, Just weathered. Can't say for the boonies, but the british don't wear them like that as you stated.

Hi, i have various woodland pants, some are from like 17 years ago

others from like 15 years ago, and a pair of 'em from 10 years ago;

in all 'em you can see clearly the woodland camo on 'em, very very

weathered yes... but you're still able of see perfectly the woodland

dirts on 'em. To me the pats in that screenshot look like as part

of a guillie suit base; but weird... the front side is "almost" green...

while the side pockets and the rear part is "as new" as the jacket...?

i don't know man, but that don't looks right or even well to me.

And i ensure you that i've seen some photos of Royal Marines in

the malvinas wearing those small boonie hats that they wear, just

like in that pic; raised from behind, downed in the front. Also danish

Recon units, aussies aparently resting... and new zealanders "taking

a walk by the field". As far that i know anyone that wear a damn

boonie hat have it raised in the front and normal in the neck.

At least here, and the yankee Marines that i've seen with 'em

too, now this may have changed with they're new boonie hat

that haves more wing that the Nam/80's era boonies that our

armed forces keep using. But here if you've bad luck... it'll cost

you between 1 to 2 weeks of arrest. And now back to the game...

i hope that those pants and boonies change for when the next

Alpha patch of the ArmA see the light and there be a CWR mod

compatible with that Alpha. Let's C ya

The sniper base BDU was going to be the start of a ghille suit. It never got finished and is based off many photos.

The boonie hats are totally, completely and definately correct. I was issued them wore them and have them still after almost 20 years after I was issued them. They are correct and are shaped correctly. Wear a ruck, lay on your stomach and adjust the boonie hat. It's right.

I'm not working on CWR anymore so they may or may not get changed. But they are correct whether you think so or not.
