Allenn 0 Posted October 19, 2006 This is from the Faq from the Site: What is Starsiege: 2845? This game will be set in the Starsiege universe (originally created by Sierra/Dynamix and now owned by VU Games) and focuses on mecha and vehicular combat. It follows in the footsteps of such ground breaking games as Cyberstorm, Earthsiege 1 and 2, and Starsiege. Starsiege: 2845 will attempt the marriage of the sim-like qualities found in vehicle oriented Mecha games such as Starsiege and Mechwarrior with the fast paced action of FPS games like Tribes. Unlike many games which focus on FPS combat and include vehicles in a support role, the gameplay in Starsiege: 2845 will place major emphasis on vehicular combat. The game will have air and land vehicles, as well as ground based infantry units. The battlefields will include Earth, the Moon, locations on the rim of the solar system, and alien settings. Players will be able to outfit their chosen avatars with weaponry and special components in such a way as to enhance their specific playing styles. As part of our arrangement with VU Games, the multiplayer portion of this game will be made available for free download; there will be no cost whatsoever to our fans. The alpha tech thingy has just been released so everyone can try it out. i havent tried it yet but it seems sorta similar to 2142 except further into the future. blackdog~ 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Gameplay sounds a little bit like the Battlezone series and looks a lot like Battlezone II (with a little bit better graphics of course)...

XCess 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Wonder if it'll be as good as my ol' favourite, Mechwarrior: Mercenaries, I loved that game.. the way they did the missions made it seem like it would never ever end
