Glad about it smile_o.gif

It's a bit late now, but maybe the L96 sniper could be added in the next version (mentioned in the GDCE thread). Will try when I get home.

It's a campaign (3 phases of missions/subcampaigns), so you need to put it in the ofp\campaigns folder.

If you know how to make mod folders, it would be even better to make a @ukf mod-folder and inside it make a campaigns folder and put this campaign there. This way the campaign will show only in case you loaded the @ukf mod.

thanks I'll try that when I get back from work. I thought it would go into the mission folder like DMA dynamic campaigns.

cheers, impi

Nope, because the DMA campaigns play as missions with sub-missions. Multi-phased GDCE campaigns are actually real campaigns. A single-phased GDCE campaign would be the equivalent of a DMA campaign (regarding mission structure) and it would go into the missions folder.

I've made some changes:

v1.02

- added the L96A1 sniper rifle instead the default M21

- added the WMIK Milan (DAC and some missions)

- deleted some redundant files, so a bit smaller size

NOTE: from now on you will also need the UKF L96 Pack which is a sniper rifle addon. Be aware that the full addon pack does not contain this addon at the time of this post, so get it from the above link until colligpip doesn't update the first post.

Don't worry about saved games, it will work fine, except you'll have to give your sniper guy the L96 the first time (just when loading missions saved with the previous version of the campaign and only until the first next save).

The dl link is here. (version 1.02)

You should look sometimes at the GDCE thread too. I can't track where I posted what. Enjoy.

nice atmosphere. especially at dusk/dawn biggrin_o.gif

i am playing 700vd and high terrain detail.

its great to have the other friendly ai patrolling the area.

it adds a lot to the immersion.

i got a crash to desktop after calling the vehicle support or the special squad (order them both at the same time).

it was like just after the second radio call.

ill have to try again later tonight.

I've played about 10 mission and didn't had the CTDs, altough I mostly use plain squad fire and no support. But will try.

Probably some units/vehicles are causing the CTDs since it doesn't happen with other conversions. It would really help if someone who knows more about UKF would help about this issue.

I've been getting frequent CTD's also in SAS. It probably is unit-based as I've switched back to GDCE and all is fine.

It seems that the SAS addons are ok.

The problem is a general one with heavier addons. I create the units fast in scripts (GDCE also) and while you run some "light" addons (like the default ones), it runs fine. But once you use something like the WMIKs, it seems that the game CTD's (simply doesn't have the time to do all is needed). So, sorry UKF for suspecting in your work.

Sorry about this. Will be fixed in the next GDCE update. Until then play with GDCE or accept the CTDs.

People who have CTDs should do the following: in OFP preferences max out the memory use (set it to 2gigs).

It seems that newer addons tend to use much more memory than the older ones, and OFP isn't made for this (when you combine it with GDCE which uses MANY kinds of units and vehicles). By increasing the usable memory, you decrease the possibility of OFP running out of memory, but be aware that if you have 512MB or less, it may cause slowdowns, since OFP will (probably) use the HD as memory.

Feedback welcome on this issue. I've got 768mb RAM and with the latest version of the Dyn SAS, I don't have CTDs.

I suppose, people who have low end machines and want to play, should play with default GDCE.

How do you max out to 2gigs?

In preferences, my 'total memory' slider goes to 256mbs max.

specs: Sempron 3100

          Amd 1.8 ghz

          Nvidia 6800GS

          1 Gig ram

          80 Gig HD ( 20 Gig free)

Make sure you run the newer (about 600kb) preferences exe. Don't know if that's the reason. I'm having GOTY and there are two preferences. The older one has a max. of 256mb too at me.

This seems to have done the trick well done, perhaps this will solve some other ctd's i had been having with other missions as well.

Nice work with this campaign. Im enjoying it so far.

I haven't finished it yet, but the DAC settings where the dead disappear after 30 seconds is far too quick. Call me a ghoul, but I like to admire my handiwork after letting theair out of a few baddies! pistols.gif

Will let you know how I fare with the rest of the campaign.

Thanks for your hardwork!

Chops

Even though I'm quite new to OFP I can tell that this mod has great looks and of course gameplay. I wanted to tell/ask a couple of things.

1 - Whenever I leave the campaign and get to the main menu, the background animation still shows the game I just left, and whenever I click an item in the menu, I hear my gun firing. Haven't tried other controls (movement, etc.). Just letting you know, since I haven't seen any bug report (for GDCE stuff) like this I thought it could be of interest.

2 - I don't want to bother you, hehe, is there any chance to see an updated version, using GDCE 1.10?

Thanks to all of you for the mod.
