csj 0 Posted August 21, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Chinook rotors change orientations when accelerating / decelerating. Does anybody know how to stop this action or atleast reduce it by 50% or thereabouts ? I have tried raising, lowering and even removing these points 'predni osa naklonu' and 'zadni osa naklonu' with no changes in the rotor action. Well that's not all true - if you remove the points then it actually magnifies the action.
nephilim 0 Posted August 21, 2006 im not sure what exactly you want :S by my knowledge you cannot animate rotors so they tilt if that was possible we´d have a nice and easy made osprey with working/tilting gondulas a rotor cycles around an axis that is defined through 2 points in the memory lod i havent seen tilting rotors on the bis chinook nor on any other chopper made for ofp
csj 0 Posted August 21, 2006 The Chook (Chinook CH47) does have them and unfortunately so does my bird. these points 'predni osa naklonu' and 'zadni osa naklonu' are the axis for the fwd and aft swivel action depending on accel or decel. I have set my bird up as norm chopper but with the tail rotor set vertical but it just didn't fly the way it should. Maybe if the problem is not that noticable to others then I will learn to live with it.
csj 0 Posted August 21, 2006 Dah Ok I should have figured this one out before bothering ppl but incase anyone is interested the amount of swivel is controled via the minRotorDive, maxRotorDive, neutralRotorDive settings. increasing the value + or - gives you a greater movement the closer the value is to 0 the less movement you get. UNN 0 Posted August 22, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Chinook rotors change orientations when accelerating / decelerating. What are the animations linked to, the keyboard controls e.t.c or the speed and direction of the heli? It's always handy to here of potential ways of tapping into the OFP engine. csj 0 Posted August 23, 2006 the animations linked to the acceleration and deceleration (fwd - reverse) of the aircraft, I think. Not velocity. Pretty much same as copper pitch No sideways movement.
