C'mon give him a break. Just give him a few tips. At least he doesn't rip off someone else's stuff and puts his label on it which seems to be the trend lately.

Anyway you might wanna add more faces and for textures either use a higher resolution photo or make the textures yourself.

yep that needs work. if you want to have for the chopper a photorealistic texture, you should use only some parts of a real picture, and use a generic metal layer (for the background), and add lights. a picture doesn't create a photorealistic model, that needs a lot of work.

and your chopper need more 3D details. keep it up

ididnt had much time so a few updates..

as i said the tow tractor is   a minor addon ...

i dont plan to make it better for a 5 sec shot in the campign.

i add a few detail and that it for now (its low on the list)

i want to thank Footmunch for his help on 1 step from  finnisihg the harrier..

one type with mavrick and sidewinder is done

the next will be adding another strike tipe(lgb and sidewinders)

about the aav7 i am thinking using the tow aav7 so if any have a contact there let me know so i get the ok to edit it..

also if any has the contact to who ever made that mv22 let me know..

tom will work on the island as soon as the game conv. is over and i gonna move to the campign job.. ( as soon as i finnish this addons)

ok the av-8b is done with 2 versions:

1.attack:6 mavrick . 2 sidewinder . 2 fuel tanks

2.strike: 4 gbu . 2 sidewinder.

Hi, i think that the AV8B will look better with dirt everywhere, over the wings, in the engine exits, in the intakes, in the union of the plates... in the belly... in the nose sides... and maybe some scratch; but mainly dirt, is what those textures need, i think. Let's C ya

Hi, yes, stand alone addons don't depending on another addons is much better than 40 addons that depends ones of others and that if you've loosen or don't remember 1 of those 40 and you only have 39 or 38 or 37 or whatever you can't play because you need 1 addon of 70Kb. Let's C ya

seem to me the harrier model is based on the RAF version

USMC harrier has a different nose

nephilim - the picture you linked to is for an AV-8B II+. The one he's got is an accurate AV-8B II. The Plus adds a radar to the nose, while the old II has a FLIR camera in the nose. I don't think all Harrier units have moved to the II+ yet.

I disagree, by releasing the addon as a beta, as long as its in a usable state would be useful to SFC.ITZHAK our input is likely to spot those niggly little errors before a final proper release to the community.

actually its not:

- Fin root is extended and thicker to house larger APU

- Leading root extensions are a different shape and size (GR-9 type)

- Chaff and Flare packs are bolted onto the spine. On the GR7/9 they are internal or on the BOL Sidewinder Rails

- Cooling vents are different shape and both versions of AV-8 compared to the GR7/9

- Various antennas are different sizes and locations

- Gun pack is the ADEN25 not the ADEN 30.

- Lower tail chaff and sensor pack is removed on the AV-8 (flare only)

- RWR recievers are different

- AV-8 does not have dedicated sidewinder rails

- Laser and IR warning sensors under the nose and wing tips arent fitted to AV-8

- Avionics and the MFDs are different (AV-8 uses the same ones as the F-18 - cant remeber the name/model atm).

- Different ejector seat - Stencel S-III-S - not the Martin Baker Mk9/12)

- Tail Boom assembly & sensors are different

- #1 & 7 pylons cant carry LGB type weapons as they arent wired for them (pre 2002) post i dont know but most of the USMC fleet was upgraded but ive not seen any shots of an AV-8B carrying anything but AIM-9 or Chaff/ECM pods on these pylons.

Yeah, it was; but the gun Pack fairing was fitted to alot of the AV-8B aircraft anyway to aid lift and handling at low speed.  In just the same way as the ADEN 30 fairings are on the GR7 even though the guns arent actually used anymore.

Most of the AV-8B II+ were retrofitted with "fences" after the ADEN25 was cancelled but a large number of the packs are still in use as they (alledgedly) provide better aerodynamic lift and control than the fences alone at low speeds.

hi all al little update...

the av8b is "done" only working on the cockpit..

there is working mfds and alot of gugs ..

i think it will be finished by this weekend..

also the ch46 will be ready..

1 more thing is that by this week end probably the f35 will be ready to..

I think Jahve is still involved with TOW. I saw him post on these forums not so long ago. Can't remember where though
