hey everyone..

i am sorry but i wont work on these mini addon pack anymore...

i have joined the usmc-mod 1.4 to work on the usmc addons..

the aav7 is pretty much done from the pics above so if you want i will rel. it.

I tested it out this morning. And there are a few minor things I want to fix and add before release.

1.) Add desert textures.

2.) fix cargo hold seats and textures.

3.) fix turret. Tuuret currently moves at angles instead of the weapons. This was noted to be fixed back in 2003.

4.) Add armor pack.

5.) Add retractable covers for propellers.

Otherwise, it is great! SFC.ITZHAK did an awesome job on animating the cargo doors.

I will do my best to try to get this done asap.

UPDATE!! Here is what I have done so far...

1.) Fixed cargo hold seats and textures. done. 100%

2.) Added damage texture values so when the AAV7 is hit or destoyed the textures will darken or become black. done. 100%

3.) completely new hull taken from the old OGWC mod AAVP. done. 100%

Left to do...

1.) Add desert textures. 25%

3.) fix turret. Tuuret currently moves at angles instead of the weapons. This was noted to be fixed back in 2003. 10%

4.) Add armor pack. 0%

5.) Add retractable covers for propellers. 45%

Will change the 1m turret from the CZM mod for the AAV7. First pics should be ready on monday.

Lemme get with Combat! an see if they wanna let go of the AAVP7.Might even give up CH-46, UH-1N, AH-1W, CH-53, an what ever else I can find?

Any chance of this actually happening? I remember you had a lot of good USMC stuff in the pipeline before you joined up with Combat.

I am able to destroy the AAV7 with a few M16A4 rounds. crazy_o.gif

I fixed the armor prob. tounge2.gif I wound up reverting back to an old config.cpp file. Hope to be done with this soon.

I'm glad someone making USMC mod smile_o.gif

Can I ask if you planning on making an M1A1? As far as I know. Marine corps using the A1 instead of A2 because it's much lighter (A2's armor partly made of depleted uranium, so it's weight much more than A1).

And you mentioned to make a campaign. Have you got any details about it?

that looks nice, the bits that are like embossed look rather strange though they could do with a little bit of darkening where they are, but its nothing big i cant wait to actually get a good AAV

You could "sharpen" the edges a bit by making the color around the edge a bit lighter. You would see the shape of it all better... smile_o.gif

Hi, well Tech... the only armour texture tutorial that i've seen and knows about is this one: OFP.INFO/DESERT OFP from the God of the OFP texturing, hour hero and savior; Marfy. I hope that that serves you. Let's C ya

Which island did you used?

The island is one of my own. I use it for experimenting. Started it back in 2002, so its been an on going project.

I was just wondering if you could add the ability of making this one go at actual AAV7 speeds while in the water, around 13 mph/21 kph? This is the one aspect that I've seen missing in every AAV7 addon. I use a script on your older TOW v1.1 AAV7 addon but it has never worked very well. I hope you guys can crack yet another so-called limitation in your next version. Here's to luck yay.gif
