Player Banned? noob here prob gettting online

I just got the game and installed the GOTY version put patch until 1.96 and downloaded OPWATCH, trying to get into a server it downloads all the mods but... when entering the game I get kicked and says TIMETODOIT(my nick) BANNED what did I fail?

I assume that you've downloaded the game hence your player ID is banned on most public servers.

if you have a vaild copy, you should contact codemasters. they will most probably help you.

I've seemed to be having this problem recently. I've had my (legal, purchased) version GOTYE for years and years with no problem, then this past month or so I've been getting the player banned notice on a lot of servers. Wouldn't just be that I'm using WGL or something on non-WGL servers, would it?

There are servers that kick if a player connects with a mod loaded. And of course, It doesn't ban.

offtopic: where do you usualy play wgl?

well you shouldnt use a MOD on a non MOD server.

depends on the admin, but some have a quite strict policy here.

I play on the Rifles game server. It's down at the moment until later today, due to a problem with the datacentre of the provider, but filter 'rifles' and you'll get it (sorry to go off topic).

It does just say I'm banned, not kicked. Think someone might have got ahold of my CD key?
