AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 18, 2006 How do I create plans and notes for a mission? I have tried everything to learn, but I didn't... P.S.: I need help with debreifing too. Â Â Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 19, 2006 You really should search this forum before making a new thread, it must've been asked more than a few times before. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/docs/briefing.html Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
hicks88 0 Posted July 19, 2006 go to http://www.chenderman.com/CHOFPSE.htm and donwload the editor. its has wizards for briefings and plans, so all you need to do is add the details and save it in the correct folder. it will automatically write the script and save it in the correct format Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Here's what I did: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"><html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1250"> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="ofp"> <title>Title</title> </head> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <! --- -----------------------------> <! --- "Notes" section > <! --- -----------------------------> <h2><DTS="Main"></a></h2> <p> Destroy the shilka at all costs, we need our stranded aircraft airbourne. <br><br> </p> <hr> <! --- End of Notes> <! --- -----------------------------> <! --- Missions plan > <! --- -----------------------------> <p><a name="plan"></a> Short description of the mission. </p> <hr> <p><Destroy the shilka. = "OBJ_1"></a>First objective. </p> <hr> <p><Disappear = "OBJ_2"></a>Second objective. </p> <hr> <! --- End of "Plan" section> <! --- -----------------------------> <! --- debriefings ---> <! --- -----------------------------> <hr> <br> <h2><p><Win="Debriefing:End1">Title</a></p></h2> <br> <p> Our boys are lifting off now, excellent work. </p> <br> <hr> <! --- end of debriefings ---> </body> </html> If i did it wrong, can someone give me an example (Including one word highlight that will go automatically to a marker)? Take a look at this line from the example above:You can use some <a href="marker:MarkerName">links</a> too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 21, 2006 But everything else was right? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 21, 2006 No, you made the same mistake multiple times. You are not supposed to make any changes to the tags like <a name=Main></a>, <a name=OBJ_1></a>, just leave them as they are. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 23, 2006 Thx. However, whenever I said give me an example, I wanted you to show me a script that U made. So I'll know where to put things. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 23, 2006 You put the briefing.html in the folder where you have the unpacked mission saved. When you save a mission from the editor as 'user mission' it goes into directory <ofpdir>\users\username\missions\mission_name.island. When you save it as 'export to single player mission' it goes into <ofp>\missions as a pbo file. Also, make sure you don't have the file extensions hidden so you don't save it as briefing.html.txt, that won't work. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 23, 2006 So that is my problem? ALL That i had to do is type plans.html ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 23, 2006 Well I'm not a psychic so I can't tell what's going on if you don't tell me what it is that you're doing and what's happening. You can see some examples of briefings in <ofpdir>\SPTemplates Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 23, 2006 I have one more question. Is the plans only seeable when you post it to single missions? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 23, 2006 This is what it looks like in html file: I have to destroy the AA, and Uljtez if I can. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Short description of the mission. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Destroy the Shilka. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disappear. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You won Well done. Metal Heart 0 Posted July 23, 2006 Quote[/b] ]I have one more question. Is the plans only seeable when you post it to single missions? Nope, you can see them in preview mode too when you press m. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 25, 2006 I am sorry for this thing being soooo lonng, but umm... ...it won't show up. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 25, 2006 1. copy the unaltered file briefing.html from <ofp>\SPTemplates\1-6_C_Cooperative.Abel to <ofp>\users\<yourname>\missions\<missionname.island> 2. start ofp, go to mission editor, load mission, start preview, press M Do you or do you not see the briefing? AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Didn't see breifing. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Ok, I've got nothing. I don't get it why it doesn't work, maybe your computer is evil or something. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
SevenBEF 0 Posted July 27, 2006 maybe "querty" is killing you Where Metal Heart said use "m" to see briefing, maybe you should try "?" (azerty ? button = querty m button) If you are in the editor, hold the "shift" button when you press preview and you'll get the briefing before the mission begins Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Metal Heart 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Quote[/b] ]If you are in the editor, hold the "shift" button when you press preview and you'll get the briefing before the mission begins Sweet, I didn't know that. Useful too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AgentJonathan 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Haaahaaaahaa! Evil computer! (Cracks up more) Anyhoo I'll hold shift to see if it works. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

SevenBEF 0 Posted July 30, 2006 I think ur wrong somewhere... Try to dePBO a mission you played & put it in ur users/missions/nameofmission/ folder; then load it in the editor and hold the Shift button down while you press preview. If you still can't see the briefing I'm sure you launched FIFA2006 orso Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
