Gen.Carnage 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Here is an addon that would be a shame to go to waist. I have no time at all to finish it, and believe some of you might pick up this task. So far this addon contains the M109A6 paladin 155mm howitzer, and the TOS-1 buratino (pinoccio), a very powerful fueal air, medium range devastation system. I have begun creating a point and shoot spotter for directing the artillery across serious distances on the map. Those of you with serious scripting knowledge will be able to figure out the tricks i pulled from the hat to avoid the OFP limitations. To avoid overloading my personal homepage ISP, i will remove the link in a couple of days, so please, someone create a mirror somewhere. Gen.Carnage 0 Posted June 15, 2006 no, its completely independant from UA, has its own targeting system and can be used for remote automated fire as well as beeing a player controlled "tank" If the UA lads want to use it for their new release theyre free to do so, but i can remember sending Dinger the new paladin a long time ago... As everything the DKMM magic worked into , it has now a permanent place on my OFP directory along the other superb work from DKMM Again a great job on very high quality of model, textures and effect (i really like the explosion effect of the TOS-1 missiles) Thank you a lot for not letting this superb work disappearing. Another superb DKMM release. M-109 has no engine, tracks, ride sounds M-109 has unfinished interrior of the turret M-109 has script errors when round was fired M-109 has wrong (bomb looking) round M-109 round has strange round trajectory, often it goes to left or right M-109 and TOS-1 should have some proper scripts for AI, so that when starting moving it would switch to drive mode What realy makes this release so wonderfull Scripts! When you swith to/off driving mode, so much things happens, some parts fold some extend... !!! Models and Textures are top work!! And it's the DKMM new addon! miles teg 1 Posted June 16, 2006 WOW! Â FINALLY!! Â I was just thinking the other day how sad it was that the TOS-1 was never released and then today I wake up to see this beautiful beta. Â The M109 is also very nice (aside from the bugs mentioned earlier), but it was the TOS-1 that I was really waiting for and I am not disappointed. For people who don't know what it is, it is a highly unique fuel-air artillery system that was used to absolutely devestating effect by the Russian Army in Chechnya. Â It has the effect of asphyixiating any living thing within its effective radius, burning them, as well as crushing bones and internal organs through the enormous overpressure it creates. Â Even enemies in bunkers can be killed by this weapon for which there is very little defense. But as far as OFP is concerned, this weapon puts on an impressive light show and does alot of dammage to soft targets like infantry and trucks. Â Ok...now recommendations. Â I know this is just a beta, but like others I also highly recommend a readme file with instructions on how to use the addon along with script examples. Â Â Demo missions showing different ways that it can be used would also be very helpful. Myself, I am more interested in figuring out how to get the AI to use the arty system for indirect fire as I perfer to not play as a forward observer and instead just for example, see the TOS-1 artillery exploding on or near a town or fortified enemy area that my Spetsnaz team is about to assault. Beautiful  you already started to think that these are beutiful bombing targets? oh you crazy pilot... P.S. As I'm mad in OFP piloting too, those would be realy beautifull targets, but you know, it would be realy hard to hunt these down until they could cause heavy damage to oposing forces... If it has an own "targeting system" would you care to share with us how this thing actually works? Because without knowing how this addon's main feature works the average lifetime of the addon probably won't exceed 15-30 mins. Except of course for those people who see the sole purpose of an addon in serving as an actor for another boring contribution to the flashpoint photgraphy thread.
