PainDealer 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Graeme Dott won the Snooker World Championship by winning Peter Ebdon 18 frames to 14 in a thrilling final session of the World Championship Final in Sheffield, England. Dott had a 15 - 7 lead but Ebdon fought back to make it 16 - 14. Dott got his guts together and clinched the title by winning the last 2 frames. The world championship was Dott's first ranking title ever. Last year Shaun Murphy did the same by defeating Matthew Stevens in the final by 18 - 16, but making his way to the last 32 after preliminary rounds, being the second ever to win the championship unseeded.
