mr reality 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Great concept but poor execution. I'd have to agree to 100%. The first 2-3 weeks were great, but the rest... I agree with that aswell. The blog could of been a great infomation and develpment update tool but it's fallen a bit flat with the lack of updates. I still check it daily but why i don't know......come to think of it-i still check these pages daily but that's becoming a bit of a letdown also. I'm generally a patient person as i much prefer something to be finnished properly the first time round but i still like updates every one-in-a-while. I'm no addonmaker or scripter so the Armed Assault part of the wiki isn't much use to me at the moment.
Scrub 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Calm before the storm? from Armedassault.eu: "Espectro on 20/07/2006 11:18:36 Just remember that the next videoes from gaming magazines won't be a newer build of arma. The one out now, will be the last pre-release. So unless it's a video from BIS, we probably wont see any such things as these"
deanosbeano 0 Posted July 21, 2006 i think the problem was/is that the blog writers are actual bis programmers and it was a way for them to give some feedback and be involved but right now there working 24/7 to release the demo and therfore have no time for the blog.shame really caus altho the wiki is fantastic (apart from game2 input),this also has detracted from time on the blog. Sled88 0 Posted July 22, 2006 # 113. The insider | July 22nd, 2006 at 10:28 am 6 months… how did you know Ralf. Well the cat is out of the bag. Yes ppl it is going to slide until Q1 2007… sorry for the bad news Strange comment in the blog!
GBee 0 Posted July 22, 2006 Ignore blog comments, they are unofficial and unreliable. Frequently they are also deliberate attempts to wind people up, as show in that comment. Repeating/Reposting them only achieves what the kiddies who post them want - attention.
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted July 24, 2006 Plus who cares? The better the game, the more the community wants it, BIS can take all the time they want, IMHO (well, at least until Q2 07).
sniperandy 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Well, it doesn't matter when BI releases ArmA, cause we're gonna buy it anyway. If it is Q2, Q3 or whatever in 2006 or if it is Q1, Q2 or whatever in 2007. Just go and play something else meanwhile
aus_twisted 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Plus who cares? The better the game, the more the community wants it, BIS can take all the time they want, IMHO (well, at least until Q2 07). There always comes a time in game developement where you have to stop adding new features and finish up the final product otherwise BIS wont have a product to sell to make them money and keep them in business and us players will be waiting for ever. I think BIS have come to the stage where mostly everything is done for ArmA and they can focus on Game 2, otherwise theres no point in holding off ArmA for so long always adding new features, what would that leave Game 2? ArmA might aswell be the next generation game if that was the case.
Ukraineboy 0 Posted July 24, 2006 According to PCZone UK, William Porter is also the deputy editor of PCZone UK, and the blog is run by him.
sniper pilot 36 Posted July 25, 2006 According to PCZone UK, William Porter is also the deputy editor of PCZone UK, and the blog is run by him. You sure? i mean what i gathered from it was that the William Porter from PCZone was messing around sayin how it was him and all. They go on acusing BiS of stealing the name lol. I think they just wanted to mess around with the fact that a fictional character has the same name as one of their editors.

He previously worked on both Operation Flashpoint titles for the PC.
