Messiah 2 Posted December 12, 2005 Truly an enjoyable mod. I´ve played with it for two days non-stop now. Several high quality WWII missions are already availiable for download at http://fdf.joltan.deI found some minor bugs while playing with the aircraft. Don´t know if it was mentioned already but the planes can fly through trees without crashing. Forrests stops them, though. This problem only exists with single trees placed outside the forrest areas. adding to that, it seems that the wings are non effected by bullet fire - i've been dogfighting the hurricanes to death, and have noticed that i only do damge if i hit the main fuselage given how the huricane and spitfires were built, this is quite realistic, but i'd somehow expect some damage from shooting the wings (or is it just me having this problem) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Half of the time you think you're hitting the enemy plane and you're actually missing - the only way to know for sure you've got him is if you see flashes on the fueselage, smoke, or if he crashes. If you've holed his wings it's not going to be noticeable unless you pull up right alongside him, and can get him to stay perfectly still for however amount of time you need to get a good look. Postduifje 0 Posted December 12, 2005 Only got to try it out as of today, cause we still had a 1.3 MP yesterday. It's sweet! The look and feel are all that we are used to from FDF, simply amazing. And then there is the new cool sounds, the music that creates tremendous atmosphere, the really well done fortifications and new possibilities. ESFD 0 Posted December 12, 2005 About the planes, there should be AI versions of the planes with lower detail cockpits. The elevators on your fokker fighter plane are reversed. The trailing edge should fall when the stick is pushed forward, and should rise as it is pulled back. Thats why the carryable MG's have the unrealistic 360 degree turn radius. If there was just 'turn left' or 'turn right' commands AI would not be able to turn them.
