FFUR - Huge Release !!

Recommended Posts

About the desposable (unreloadable) rocket launchers.

This is a glaringly unrealistic and inauthentic feature of OFP that they can be rearmed. Is it possible to make them unreloadable, or has this already been done?

Perhaps it might interfere with campaign missions. But a lot of people (including myself) don't really play the official campaign with FFUR. It would be nice if something could be done. confused_o.gif

Another thing, are all weapons and vehicles in FFUR up to date? I know most are, but is it 100% 2006?

one shot rocket launchers are indeed possible in flashpoint, short of a shameless plug, UKF's LAW80 used such a system (and i think one of the only ones to do so)

operation frenchpoint invented that system first actually.

Hey

I read that the Russian  Federation Army {ruskis smile_o.gif } are going to enter the T-98 Kombat jeep into service---T-98: kind of the russian version of the Hummer---{now its a civilian version but I think that they are going to do a Military Version,Like the hummer jeep that was military and now civilian}.

Heres a pic of it {NOTE THE "RUSSIAN FEDERATION"SYMBOL ON THE DOOR}:

244169_3_full.jpg

I'm not claming that they will, I read in an Article about the Russian Army that in "2006 the T-98 is rolling out of the Factorys"

If its true, perhaps some talented veichle maker could make it in camoflague and the FFUR team will use it {maybe to replace the UAZ ?}?

As with most new Russian stuff, it will probably only enter service with special units (MVD, OMON etc.) and if the regulars are lucky enough to get it, it will be in several years time, and the UAZ will still be around for ages.

Quote[/b] ]yeh man look at the face in the 1st pic. Thats just some photoshop error maybe?

Nah, the soldier suddenly closed his eyes when I got the screen (probably because of the camera's flash... :-p)

This feature has been suggested more than once, but as previously stated, including it might break a lot of missions because you'd get 1 rocket and if you/or AI would miss the armored vehicle, you would have a lot of difficulties to accomplish the mission...

We try to balance realism and gameplay as well as possible by privileging the realism aspect, but by keeping some limits in order to avoid breaking BIS missions and campaigns, though.

Quote[/b] ]Another thing, are all weapons and vehicles in FFUR up to date?

Get a look at the previous pages, there are a lot of informations about the enhancements and the improvements that have been carried out since the release of the FFUR 2006.

Quote[/b] ]Tb what are your dxdll settings as your ofp looks great or have they all been photoshopped?

A bit Photoshopped.

Indeed, wait'n see. ;-)

Btw, 'spent almost the whole night by reworking the ACU models to make'em looking better and close to real life soldiers, here are a couple of shots :

I hope you'd like'em this time... smile_o.gif

(The knee pads still need a small update, btw... ;-) )

Special thanks to laser for some parts of his p3ds, and huge thanks to all people who helped us in making'em that authentic by providing various informations and images.

thunderbird84, the Bijans kneepads shouldn't have the black straps around them. They should look like these:

EDIT: I saw that you were going to update the pads anyways. smile_o.gif

wow like the units big chang from the last ones smile_o.gif  but the back pack thing err on that, plz say only the gunners have them not the riflemen. Im saying the packs look vary small realy small for the units, naver seen an U.S. inlisted men wear them. looks like an old russian ruck sack wiht U.S. camo. Plz make the packs bigger or have some units with out them for people that like them or with lovely ideal make them where you can take them off at any time like Black Burns UK units. Freedom to us your units gear like goggles ext is an big pluse and make the units vary lovely. Plz  smile_o.gif Also you have done an vary good job on this units gear vary nice job.

The US army is supplied with various backpacks that should be extremely durable without adding unnecessary weight, especially during close combats, a good backpack not only holds everything you need, but also makes it easy for you to retrieve what you need when you need it.

And the Backpack we included seems fitting, though.

I believe its velcro, for easy attachtment/dettachment of unit patches, flags, blood types and IFF material.

I actually like the shiny effects quite a lot of course it could do with a little bit of a tone down but apart form that it looks cool.

Also TB will the MP config for the next FFUR have the vehicles replaced? Would love to have a CTI on DTB Insane with new vehicles.

The ACU looks great, top notch work cant wait for the release.

I like it to but for example, try to play the mission "The Pass" in the RES campaign with FFUR, and man, there to much light !

FFUR team should "darken" it a little . . icon_rolleyes.gif

HI, hey Thunderbird, i think that the AAO combat backpack that we could find into the INQ HTTV, M60A1 or M1A2 will look better if u use the texture that comes with it, without redo the camo.

I also think that the backpack model it's too small but well... if i knew how to make a unit model... i'll use as backpack those, they look great right as we may found it inside those INQ models. Just that, let's C ya man

I thought only US troops who carry heavy equipment have a backpack e.g AT Soldiers and Machine Gunners. Don't the regular troops have pockets in thier pants and on thier kevlar. It's just I watch some videos of the war in Iraq and most US soldiers had no Backpacks

I remember this was discussed in great detail a few hundred pages ago (:P) but dont the US Army have the M16A4 now? Earlier, I was of the opinion that they still have the A2, but now Ive read alot of stuff suggesting the front line troops that use M16s have the A4 model (M4 is still the main weapon). Personally, I would like to see the rifleman and grenadiers with M16s and the rest with M4s, but I dont know how realistic that is

I think only vehicle drivers (truck Drivers etc) and tank crews use the M16, I also think its an A2 model. Basic soldiers use all varients of the M4.
