just played the singleplayermission "ambush" with the new pack!

FFUR Ai behaviour was great, sounds - great, units great!

but it was a little bit more laggy than the other ffur packs, a little bit like y2k3. have to change my settings a bit lower to play it.

but great work!

The installer uses LZMA High compression which requires a lot of memory, I suggest you to reboot your system after the installation is done in order to play smoothly with the new pack.

Ohmygod......THIS IS AMAZING! Just played the original mission "flashpoint." Amazing...everything. The islands are especially nice, awesome foliage and ambient sounds and i must comment that the BDU/ACU camo is perfect. And best of all....

now at playable framerates!

WTG FFUR!!

Looking forward to a (hopefully) upcoming 1985 conversion smile_o.gif

I just have a question, maybe I missed something but is the ACU for anything other than the mission editor? I didn't spot any while playing.

Also, I have a bug to report, haven't tried to repeat it...but on the "ambush" mission I noticed the gunner proxy for the .50 cal is all messed up, he is halfway through the ground with no animation.

There are three 1985 conversions already out - check our website.

I know, the woodland 85 pack is unplayable laggy though in comparison to the new one and don't all the features of 2006.

@thunderbird: yes, as you can think, i played it without a reboot -

zu gierig!

just played the singleplayer mission "battlefields". it was great, but

i am not an military expert - is it realistic that soldiers open fire at 500m distance? that looks a bit overpowered to me...

but the exploding tanks are great! boooom! yay.gif the new death animations are makabre but also great. i think thats gonna be a long night!

thx again, your work makes the waiting time for armed assault more funny!

Finished, but how do I install skypack?

choose either llauma or modul. open either of the folders, it should have "bin" "newdata" and an instal.bat inside. move these three files into your FFUR directory (for example, C:/program files/codemasters/operation flashpoint/ffur2006 (or whatever).

Then, click the install.bat. and just wait. eventually it should say that it has completed the installation. then just run ffur and it will have the skies.

EDIT: thought i might add the difference between llauma and modul-they are two different sky packs, two different sets of textures.

here are screenshots of either from ofp.info:

This is modul

this is llauma

For the use of ACU soldiers replace the config.bin. There is an ACU config folder in the bin folder of FFUR 2006, unpack the config.bin and replace the original FFUR 2006 config.bin.

So far so good. The mod is looking briliant, works without errors, gives an totaly unbalanced 1985 campaign. The missions are not balanced for enemys that engage at that high distance. What means, if you are not in charge the soldiers run to their waypoints and get shot down by the enemy.

It would be nice if we can get an patch that gives a little bit balance to the original campaigns.

I found one funny bug involving the m2 machine gun. THe gunner proxy is without animation and stuck halfway into the ground whistle.gif

Also, the camo in blackop: day doesn't exist in the US military as far as i know, but still looks cool.

When FFUR installs and my flashpoint preferences comes up I max everything, but what is geometry performance. Also should I leave the LOD setting where it is or max it,my pc can handle it.

I get the screen fading black in and out as well. But after I play a round it stops. No big deal.

What should I do to reduce the laggishness? I fire my gun, the bullet comes out 2-3 seconds later. I drive my vehicle, the screen skips and I've hit a tree. Very sad. sad_o.gif

Otherwise, this whole pack is beautiful. It has made ofp great again. biggrin_o.gif
