456820 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Just want to start out and say this is by far the best mod out for OFP it makes the game fun to play and looks really cool while playing it. I need to know why the high res pack is not working for me, I have downloaded the file and put the addons in res addons folder and put the world files in the worlds folder and it does not work. If someone could get back to me and let me know how to work it, it would be great. Thanks Well what i did was put the addon in my ofp addon not my res for some reason. Then extracted the worlds folders into my ofp/worlds (Your bis one not an ffur one). Then extract the data .pbo's into my ofp dta folder overwriting your old BIS files of these Note - Remember to keep a backup somehwere of the original BIS files Hope it helps
Mr_Tea 0 Posted March 10, 2006 I`ll try to download it now. Thanks to Thunderbird and Team.

Mr_Tea 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Can someone mirror this mod please?
the_shadow 0 Posted March 10, 2006 i think there will be plenty of mirrors as soon as someone actually manages to download it it is quite slow you know, and everyone use the same server so... dont expect a mirror until late tonight... shall we guess, 3-4 hours? cervomix 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Quote[/b] ]well the low speed is cause everyones using the server try a download manager that will fix the aborting problemim currently 64% downloading at 87.0kb aprox an hour left apparantly  Download managers are hammering the servers with their multiple connections, that's partially why our servers are down (with the fact that hardware isn't good enough). Reven 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Heh, chalk up a second ofp.info blowout after an FFUR release The last time we borked their servers was after the FFUR Mega Release Day at Christmas, when we released five packs totalling about 3GB in size.
Drew77 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Hi I have asked a question about the high res island pack and I downloaded the pack from this thread and talking to other people is seems not to come with the dta file and that why it is not working so could someone send me the file or give me a link with all the files in the rar, zip. THANKS. email Hix911@yahoo.com

Thunderbird 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Sorry for the lack of mirrors but several ones will be available very soon. Btw, Avoid the use of "Download Manager" and other such tools, they tend to break 'The installer architecture' and this might cause some serious data 'corruption' troubles. The link has been tested with Mozilla FireFox and everything worked as it should, though. Quote[/b] ]how can i turn it of (or remove that effect)? The new reflection effect has been decreased a lot since the last release, and the new one has been inspired from several "real life" photos, it doesn't look that 'awful' in my judgement. In anyway, if you still want to take it out, then Open your ffur2006\bin\editable config. Look for 'class cfgmaterials' and replace: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> class Terrain { ambient[]={1,1,1,1}; diffuse[]={1,1,1,1}; forcedDiffuse[]={1,1,1,1}; specular[]={.4,.4,.4,0}; specularPower=2; emmisive[]={0,0,0,0}; }; by <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> class Terrain { ambient[]={1,1,1,1}; diffuse[]={1,1,1,1}; forcedDiffuse[]={0,0,0,0}; specular[]={0.030000,0.030000,0.030000,0}; specularPower=3; emmisive[]={0,0,0,0}; }; Then finally convert your cpp to bin and overwrite the current config.bin by the new one.
