Thunderbird 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Hi, Quote[/b] ]I'd rather have the good ol' OFP music instead of new replacing songs . ok there are good songs in that list but will sink the pink by AC/DC really fit? OFP default songs are replaced by 'Instrumental - Classical' ones coming from famous movies, only 'Resistance songs' will be replaced by Rock songs that people suggested, though. Quote[/b] ]Black Sabbath-War Pigs would be PERFECT for ofp to replace one of the seventh songs. This goes against other people suggestions, we do our best in order to please everyone. Quote[/b] ]Btw, how is lag in new version? In FFUR1985, The "flashpoint" mission yields 15 fps max...with ecp its around 40 :\ The framerate level has been increased a lot since that release, first because only relevant and required P3D models and textures have been retained for the mod and the number of addons have been decreased from ~230 to 30; Secondly, because all scripts that might cause lag or other issues in game, have been disabled or entirely reworked. The FFUR Euro is a great example of the new FFUR concept and shows the objectives we try to reach at each release. Btw, people tend to forget that unlike ECP, FFUR replaces almost all models, though, this fact does decrease a bit the framerate level, as well. Btw, some news from the front: -BIS Brdm replaced by AKM74 BTR-80. -NSV replaced by AKM74 NSV. Will keep you informed about the progress. Shashman 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Well, and thanks for choosing some of the songs I suggested, but I have to say, Sink the Pink as sole AC/DC rpresentative? Thunderstruck of Hells Bells would have been PERFECT, but otherwise, excellent choice, AND you chose Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It! BTR to replace BRDM? It's armed though, and the BIS BRDM isn't
Thunderbird 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Quote[/b] ]BTR to replace BRDM? It's armed though, and the BIS BRDM isn't Even being armed, the chances of breaking missions are very low. Regards TB84
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted February 18, 2006 Sorry to ask again, but I was hoping to maybe get a screenie of the crew and pilots, if you've done them, now the infantry has been almost finished? I can't wait for them textures to come out, it really makes me spring out of bed (except on days when my girlfriend is around ) and onto ofp.info hoping to see "FFUR 2006 Released!" william1 0 Posted February 19, 2006 i wouldn't worry about the songs too much , after all everyone can make his own customized OFP B.S.O
Bobcatt666 0 Posted February 19, 2006 there is a russain verrsion of the BRDM-2 by Offtime to replace the BRDM/FUG65 BT80 is a counter for the LAV-25/stryker \
dkell3 0 Posted February 19, 2006 TB,is there any way of making the Commanders 50.cal on the M1 MBT work. Also who would turn out and use the 7.62,the loader?
Kyle_K_ski 1 Posted February 19, 2006 Alright, I know that this is late, but my fingers are crossed that it's still not too late to offer song suggestions. If it is, oh well, I still tried... Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" is a must. Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son." Metallica's "One." Bob Dylan's "License to Kill." These songs punch you hard in the gut, and the majority will just rock your brains out baby! Kyle Feb. 19, 2006
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted February 19, 2006 dkell3 - I see you're a new member. There have been a myriad attempts at getting a crew MG to work - none have been acceptable, because of OFP engine limitations (a tank with more than 2 weapons firing from different barrels isn't possible). Inquisitor and King Homer came closest with their M1A2, but didn't release the script because it is unacceptable. The whole debate is shut until a new engine is released. Many hope it will be incorporated in Armed Assault, but I severely doubt it - the tanks look almost the same, with no external MGs.

majoris 10 Posted February 20, 2006 Just checked the thread - great job on the ACU's The pack finally represents the modern US Army. I compared them to my own uniforms, my only suggestion would be to 'tan' the lighter color a bit more - it seems a little too white. I'd be glad to take some close-up ACU pics if you need them. Thunderbird 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Hi everyone, Quote[/b] ]Sorry to ask again, but I was hoping to maybe get a screenie of the crew and pilots, if you've done them, now the infantry has been almost finished? 'will make'em ASAP, though you already can see the new ACU Spec. Thanks to Bambi for his great model. Quote[/b] ]there is a russain verrsion of the BRDM-2 by Offtime to replace the BRDM/FUG65 BT80 is a counter for the LAV-25/stryker Indeed, but several people (including me) wanted to incorporate that nice BTR-80, and this seems to be the best occasion to make a good use of it. ;-) Quote[/b] ]Alright, I know that this is late, but my fingers are crossed that it's still not too late to offer song suggestions. If it is, oh well, I still tried... Added 'War Pigs'. Quote[/b] ]I'd be glad to take some close-up ACU pics if you need them. Cheers a lot, your help would be greatly appreciated! Quote[/b] ]You should include... Can not include all of them, please make one choice. I think we got enough of songs to implement instead of BIS resistance ones in any way. Btw, some news from the front: -Updated the mission editor. -Included an additional US machine gunner, with the m240G. -Replaced the previous russian voices by more immersive ones recorded a few days ago. (thanks to akm74). -Replaced BIS default 'pause' GUI by a customized one. -Replaced some civilians by peepers stuff. -Removed the russian binoculars because of some issues. ... and much more. chipper 0 Posted February 21, 2006 IIRC Special Forces do not use the ACU, only regular infantry does. Special Forces use whatever they need to use. Black was fine for the Spec-ops IMO. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Kyle_K_ski 1 Posted February 21, 2006 Yaaaay! "War Pigs" made it into the songs list! One of the greatest pieces of rock political "analysis" ever produced! And it's now mated to one of the greatest total conversions ever produced! A marriage made in heaven I tell you! Thank you TB! Yours! CameronMcDonald 146 Posted February 21, 2006 I think the visibility of the Ranger, Airborne and Spec Ops badges put paid to Chipper's theory. Sorry dude  - eh? What I meant was that your picture is awesome, so awesome that it means Chipper's statement was disproved by it.
