is there gonna be a sopmod version like with the anpeq laser pointer on it like the m4 sopmods or can u even mount anpeq laser with the scar?

You can mount anything you like on it, and more than likely lasers will be pretty standard with the US Specops. SOPMOD, or 'Special Operations Peculiar MODification, indicated modifications to the M4 to make it more special forces friendly, but because SCAR is designed from the outset as a specops gun, there will be no 'SOPMOD Variant' as such.

You haven't seen it, because it's completely irrelevant for testing the weapon. In real field-use almost every version will be used with an anpec laser. Perhaps the 'sniper version' (long barrel) won't be used with it, since it's not really usefull for that set-up, but all the other versions probably will.

Look at the M4's currently used by SOCOM troops and you'll see that they are all fitted with anpac lasers

the sniper version of the scar could use this maybe, it is a ACOG TA55 5.5 x 50 zoom advanced optic used my the USMC i think on the mk 12's

should be a good user friendly scope if you choose to use it or have you allready thought of the scope you want to use?

The reason why there's only grey/black models shown is because they serve as templates for the rest of the colorschemes. All in good order.

Looks very nice keep it up. There is one thing that I heard and that is that you need the SCAR-H to shoot 6.8 and pritymuch eny caliber bigger than an 5.56 needs too go in the SCAR-H at the present.

helping_hand brings up a good point, currently I've got nothing to do so I've just been playing various FPS games all week, so I've got to say, I would be eager to help you work on this. I like the SCAR, I love FN Herstal, I have a ton of knowledge on the SCAR and FN (and pretty much anything that makes a potential OFP addon), and I haven't touched a script or config in weeks. And if it will speed up the progress, then it will benefit us all. I'm allready getting some great ideas.

I wonder how they're gonna solve the 7.62x39 version. Seems -judging from the off. pics - they gonna have to make a 3rd reciever in order to make it work. Or just remake the Heavy lower with an inbuilt mag-well adapter. Dunno...just rambling...

Mmm...in that same magazine, on page 95, they show that the 6.8x43mm will fall in the FHN mk.16 SCAR-L.  Is the magazine wrong?

Would love some readable scans from that magazine.

I can't understand why for example the 6.5 wont go in the L version.

Kinda decimates the chance of bringing it into battle apart from the fact that there's truckloads of 5.56 ammo out there.

Mk16 = 5.56.

MK17 = 6.5, 6.8, 7.62x51, 7.62x39 and then some.
