I dont know if there are pictures available of it yet, but i imagine comparing the magazine housings of the M16/M4 series to that of the SR-47 would provide a good idea to work with, provided you were interested in making that version.... stgn 39 Posted October 19, 2005 I highly doubt that there is a version accepting Ak mags when FN haven't completed design of the Sniper Variant of SCAR Heavy yet, besides if there is the SR-47 idear is not ideal the gun didn't win the competition it entered, Ak mags isn't suited for a long mag well you would need to completly redesign the lower to accept AK mags more like on an AK. Maby like this : http://www.mgimilitary.com/Lower_Receiver_Mult_Mag_Wells.htm this is an AR15 lower(you can't buy it yet) which can swap the mag well to accommodate which ever mag that can feed a cartrige which can be fired in an AR15. I really hate going against you but this was reported somewhere (i lost the source): "The biggest changes to come about with the advent of the SCAR are imminent plans to provide further options for the weapon to be field converted to use Russian 7.62x39 rounds. This will allow the use of ammunition and magazines found on the battlefield, a capability that is due to be ready later this year." Would cater for some nice deep insertion missions. Wether it will be a reality or not, i'm gonna include a "banana mag" version. BTW The stock has gone thru changes in the prototype (and in O2) to follow the recent "generation 2" model. The HK417 and 416 will not happen im afraid (SJB's already on it). Other than that, i just finished a totally new picatinny rail (scrapped the one from INQ's kit). I made it from the blueprints by first converting inch to metrics and so on in a very geeky way. Also started making "Flat dark earth #30118" and olive drab - textures since the promoshots are full of lies... No screenies of interest yet. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
