Tovarish 0 Posted November 29, 2005 I honestly think this is the best website I have ever found, been on it for hours now. http://www.pandora.com/ Type in an artist or song name, and it'll make a streaming radio station based on that artist or song. The best part is, it'll also add artists/songs that are musically similar to the one you selected. Tovarish is in Black Sabbath/April Wine/Anthrax/old school Aerosmith/too-many-more-to-name heaven right now

Tovarish 0 Posted November 29, 2005 No doubt, for the first time in my life, I have power equivalent to calling a radio station and saying "That was crap! don't ever play it again" or "I loved it, play more like it" and being listened to
LoTekK 0 Posted November 29, 2005 Okay, I just found Pandora thanks to this thread, and it's frigging amazing. Listening to some Placebo now. For music choice, it all depends on my mood, but I'll name a few. In Flames (their earlier stuff, up to around Whoracle) Theatre of Tragedy Lacuna Coil Crematory Within Temptation Nightwish ...basically a lot of melodic death Franz Ferdinand Greenday Chris Cornell Audioslave Soundgarden Cardigans Liquid Tension Experiment (1 & 2) Apocalyptica Thanks again for the Pandora point out. Balschoiw 0 Posted December 10, 2005 Some new releases, worth listening to: Gravenhurst - Fires in distant buildings Hard to put this one into a drawer. While there are psychedellic rock affinities it mixes up with Nick Drake style songs, but still that doesn´t cover it completely. Check out some samples of the album here: Gravenhurst - Fires in distant buildings Scroll down for samples. Next one that is worth listening if you are into Dub and Roots Reggae a little is the new Sinnead o Connor Double CD, "Throw down your arms". Sly and Robbie, producers of the album made a very nice job and Sinead does the rest. It´s really a very smooth and relaxed album worth listening to. Sinead o Connor: Throw down your arms Scroll down for samples.

Balschoiw 0 Posted December 23, 2005 New delivery from Brazil has arrived Rio Baile Funk - Favela Booty Beats : Your favourite soundtrack for a brazillian driveby. Acoustic Brazil - sampler: Very relaxed brazil CD, inviting you to spend some time on the couch with your honey. Curumin - Archados: Mix of classic Stevie Wonder with brazilian flavour and spicy funk themes accompanied by dry fart bass synths. Favela Chic - Postonove 2: Sampler with kickass bossa samples and kicking bass for brazilian favela use only. Number one brazil floorfilla. Ipanema do - Brazil FM: Highlight sampler of actual brazillian clubmusic. Some extraordinary songs with girl-melting qualities that will loosen your hip and just make you feel like bossa ! I hope this will get you over the lazy days I can´t guarantee that you will be able to buy the CD´s via Amazon, but it´s worth the try.

BlackScorpion 0 Posted December 30, 2005 Munamuna from Sesame Street. it's an awesome song. I agree. I was sure I'd heard this song, couldn't remeber it though... saw Balschoiw's new avatar and immediatly remembered it. It's hilarious ... still got a VHS that has it ("More Muppets, please"), I'm off to watch it now... Otherwise... System of a down is pretty good, and Elvis lives forever!
