In the summer of 2002, following a severe drought, starvation kindled the fire that led to civil war on the Tonali islands. US troops are being sent in, on request of the elected president Teremesha Paki, to reinstate order. In one week the US Army Rangers of the 75th Ranger Regiment, 2nd Bn, secured the Tonali airport and all major cities. You are among the troops that arrive a few weeks after the invasion.

You play Joseph Conrad, US Army Ranger, away from active duty for one year due to studies at MIT. The rangers are kept on the islands as a fast reaction force and you are assigned to the 2nd Bn's Company C, team Charlie. Your task will be maintenance of the satellite field radio, advanced optics and operation of the portable laser designator.

This campaign focuses on large scale battles, short fierce firefights in unusual environments as well as the every day life of the soldiers in Company C, team Charlie.

Type: A 13 mission campaign on the Tonali islands. The campaign is not linear and may divert along two different paths, depending on your actions.

Features: Voice acting in every mission, custom SFX, and some kick-ass rock music for the sound track.

Reguired version: Made with OFP 1.96.

Installation: Place the bluesky.pbo inside your Campaign directory.

Edit: Still can't view intros cause it whines about "missing addon: humr2". Probably some incorrect installations of addons... Keep looking for errors... huh.gif

Yup, i wondered what addon could cause this error, there aint any hummer addons. Must be some addon conflict... I had this error also when i tried to test beta version of this campaign... I try to open this without ECP mod...

EDIT: Yup, works great without ECP mod... Will test now...

I've played it with ECP and it works for me. But ECP tend to disrupt some cutscenes and intros (the ai units are constantly talking or sitting down when they're supposed to stand up etc).

I find your campaign very addictive and fun to play. The missions are not to difficult for me (I'm such a bad player) and I really enjoy what I've seen so far. For once, I've no feeling of frustration when I get killed and I'm just eager to try again.

The BAS addons are really the best units in terms of balance between detail textures and fps. They look good enough but dont lag as others.

Thank you very much. I'm probably the worst player in OFP history, because I hardly play anymore (I just make missions). That's why I made the missions quite simple. I hate to use the end mission cheat and I decided to make a campaign where this wasn't necessary. I pickedthe BAS addons for the reasons you've mentioned. I prefer them to Lasers units. Also BAS gives me everything I need in a few downloads. There's bound to be a bug or two in the campaign, but I'm glad you liked it so far.

Bas_deraj is probably BAS's Delta & ranger stuff. Be sure you have also all stuff that those addons need (for example, if this campaign needs bas deltas, and those deltas need JAM2, you need also JAM2 addons biggrin_o.gif , got it?) I mean check out what addons those deltarangers need and how you have installed them. BAS_Jkawa is probably is kawasaki problem, so check those things... Hope these will help a little.. I got it at last working when i don't use ECP (don't know why this) but now it's working and it's great! Thank you nominesine..

The bas_kawa is the Kawasaki motorcycle that was included in the Delta/Ranger pack. bas_deraj is BAS Deltas/Rangers with Jam weapons. I used version 1.55 of the BAS delta/rangers. It sounds to me as if you used an earlier version of the addon. Upgrade and it should work.

I cannot load a mission because I'm missing BAS Camel but I cannot install it because it can only install to version 1.91. Is there any link with rared pbos?

i started playing your campaign before dinner...and obviously i havent had dinner yet, its 23:53 now...damn you, for making such a good campaign tounge2.gif

the storyline and the mission are quite good, the quality of the speech files could be better, but oh well, im not complaining, it has voice actors and that improves a campaign\mission tenfold.

First off great job with Campaign. I like to play with different era soldiers but i always have enjoyed the BAS stuff.

I was having a problem seeing the cutscenes and i knew i was missing out on some good stuff. It said i was missing the "humr2" addon.

So, after some folder searching, it seems i had the humr2.pbo in my BAS addon folder but it belonged in the RES addon folder. Problem solved...i was able to watch a cutscene and was happy...until the next mission started...now i'm getting another problem.

It says i'm missing another addon:kegsw66 or kegsw44m...can anyone help me out, i thought it was from the editorupdate.pbo seeing how that file was started by gunslinger then modified by Ketgy(spelling?) then Gen.Barron. Plz correct me if i'm wrong. So i'm not sure what the problem is?

I´ve never encountered hmr2 and keg problems myself, but it seems to me you are using different (probably older) versions of the addons than I do.

I only use the BIS hummer that came with resistance. Keg-errors are most likely connected to Kegetys editorupdate. I use GB's version (link in first post).

Make sure you are using the latest version of the required BAS addons. This problem was mentioned a few posts up. See if the solution I gave then will help you.

kegetys revolvers, although very good, cause that error, so solve it either edit the config or place the KEGsw44m.pbo, KEGsw66.pbo and KEGsw629c.pbo in the regular addon folder instead of a modfolder

I started to play that campaign yesterday.

Not bad ! I like it ! Voices quality are not perfect, but it's better than nothing !

Now I play the mission where I've got to watch the meeting of the rebels. I'm hidden on the hill, and I'm waiting, waiting... But nobody comes... Is it normal ?

If you are refering to the end of Operation Sentinel I, all you need to do is watch the troops by the trucks in your binocular and right click on them. When they are registered as detected, there will be a cutscene and the action continues.

If you are facing this problem in Operation Sentinel II you must fix the broken radio before you can proceed. Once this is done there should be a short cutscene (a dialogue between conrad and Joker) and then the action starts. Did you fix the radio like Joker asked you to in the beginning of the mission?

I spoke about part 1.

I watched the rebels but nothing happened. Right click with binoculars didn't do anything.

That's Joker who detected the rebels.

Now the show can go on smile_o.gif

About ending missions...

The campaign mainly consists of two series of missions: Operation Sentinel I-III and Operation Nightstalker I-III. They are divided in three parts each (for a total of six), but are really just two very long missions. Since I'm using the campaign mode to separate them (for lag reasons) you will have the same briefing several times. There is no debrefing between them and I tried to create the cuts between the missions so it would not confuse the player when the map/notebook/briefing suddenly appears "in-game" with a list of objectives ticked off. Hopefully this idea works without causing too much confusion tounge2.gif

one point, on the prisoner escort mission, after the run in with the civillians and you have to get back in the hummer, the squad runs around to the north for ages and then runs back and gets in the hummers. Is that meant to happen, because it kind of destroys the rather awsome atnosphere you build up in that mission

No, they're supposed to go straight to the vehicle. But rememmber that they are OFP AI smile_o.gif

I tried to stop them from running around in circles by heavy scripting. But their behaviour depends on player actions as well as scripted waypoints. In playtesting they behaved like that 1 time out of 10. It's the best ratio I can get with my rather limited scripting skills.
