I thought I saw this one mentioned already, but looking back through the thread real quick I couldn't find it.Whenever I get a assassination mission there will be an empty technical next to the target. Is it supposed to be empty? Also sometimes it seems to be stuck half in the ground.

Also I've noticed on all dynamic campaigns that once you reload your campaign a few times you'll lose the ability to open doors or use ladders. Unfortunately this happened to me today when I quit and went to the grocery store and came back. I reloaded and had lost from the action menu those abilities, unfortunately I was inside the hospital when I quit. I had closed the door behind me so I couldn't get out. Seems to be a bug with flashpoint and loading saved games though not Dynamic campaigns. Thought I'd mention it though as maybe some one can surmise a solution.

That's about it though bug wise that I've noticed.

Personally this is my favorite dynamic campaign. It's pretty smooth even on my prehistoric computer. I really like this map also. I think it's my favorite map. The vegetation is very vivid in color and not desaturated. Every thing on the island is very warm feeling. Playing Bleed for Oil and last fire fight you can really feel the heat of the desert. It's very well done and in my opinion very professional. The AI seems able to actually find it’s way around fences and buildings which is lacking from most maps.

I like that last fire fight and bleed for oil use the same addons on the same map. It feels a lot like a desert UK total conversion mod, any plans for further missions or campaigns in Libya using the same addon set?

Yes like Sniperwolf572 observed correctly its an OFP "feature", the same goes for the player unit, once a troop has no more ammo left or is wounded, the icon will stay red after rearm/healing.

It can be changed for the squad though, by letting them join another group (or nogroup) and then the player again after rearm/healing. The only downside is that all of them report back in after that (which can get quite annoying), I did it this way for the Dynamic Afghanistan missions rearm/healing. I will change it accordingly for the Bleed for Oil mission for the next update wink_o.gif

Yes its always empty, its a reference point for the spawning of the enemy boss and his bodyguards wink_o.gif

I will try to let it spawn a little bit in the air, thus droping to the ground afterward, to see if this can avoid the sinking into ground of the vehicle.

Being a mission designer first, this has been the main focus during the making of the map, and during testruns with AI squads of the DMA team (Special thanks to Sanctuary, who pointed me to several bottlenecks, where the AI wouldnt enter). I am very pleased to hear that this goal was accomplished in the cities so far. smile_o.gif

I can confirm the problem with the doors not working/

Also - might be an OFP thing but I get a blue dot saying you are here on the map but is completely inaccurate.

When changing my chosen method of insertion to using WMIKs (they rock, parked 2 on a hill, left the gunners in, and advanced down the hill with the 50 cals mashing everything ahead and covering our advance  biggrin_o.gif  ), i don't get the radio comms options, in other words, when the shit does hit the fan, i cant call for extraction (have to bloody leg it back to base) or support.

Now initially i thought this was a bug of using ECP - that you'd end up loosing radio comms options.....well, negative, restarted without ECP and same thing (although that time my WMIKs didnt get smashed up). So it must be part of the mission: you only get radio options if you use chopper insertion....  confused_o.gif

(if anyone else wants to verify this.....)

Loving the mission and the island though!

Teach me not to read the entire thread thorougly biggrin_o.gif

Another note, its not a bug but its annoying. To get your WMIKs restocked on ammo, you have to go to the vehicle guy, who then charges you for value points to rearm it, unless i'm missing a trick..........slightly unfair, considering all i wanted was a few boxes of 50 cal ammo...... confused_o.gif

hehe yeah I agree -same for me with the Merlin. Would be good to just get ammo replenished upon landing /driving the vehicle to base. I haven't RTFM yet but what do those value points mean?

Not sure, i think they are for spending on new gear ect......i personally dont think rearming a wmik should cost you points though.....new wmik......yes....... wink_o.gif

Any idea what this is or where to get it?

Like Murmur2k said, I got the problem covered for the next update, didnt take into account once the player inserts by himself wink_o.gif

What were you playing? I am asking since the Bleed for Oil mission doesnt need the CMBT misc file whistle.gif

@honchoblack, it's a mission called 'Viallage Patrol'. Can't recall exactly where I got it but I'm pretty sure they where linked to one of the downloads for the massive release.

I don't recall having seen such scripts lines, like the one in the error, in the missions.

What mission was this ?

Bleed for Oil or Last Fight Lybia ?

I'm just having a go at Bleed for Oil now and I've one question. During combat, I receive a message saying I may now request extraction - however there is no such option in the Action menu nor is there a radio available in the Map screen. How do you make this request if not via these methods?

are you playing a free mission (the mission you get assigned by the SAS troop at base)? then you will have to build an ammorcrate and then choose the option stop building (or build everything available, then the option to contact HQ will appear again) wink_o.gif

If you played a "normal" mission (the missions you get from the CO) and you inserted by yourself, then you will have to find your way home on your own, untill the next update comes out, in which this will be fixed wink_o.gif

Yes I play it with ECP. It was Bleed for Oil, when you have landed and team up with allied soldiers and moving on.

for the free mission, where you team up with the SAS, you get the option to pick the insertion spot yourself. Once you picked the orientation of the fight, pick the place on the map where the fight is to take place.

You will be inserted there by heli, and the enemy will spawn in relation to this point. It seems that you picked a place too close to the east/west/south map border, which are not supported (terraformed), and are to be considered land based wink_o.gif

Hey Honcho out of curiosity, how long do you think it will be until you release a update to Bleed for Oil?

I just failed a mission and thus the whole campaign (the can't get a mission again after failing one bug). I was wondering when that might be fixed?

I will release the update in a couple of day, since I would like to implement some more stuff and wait for some more bugs to pop up wink_o.gif

Shouldnt take to long though, if you want to fix the mission yourself, unpbo it, and look for the missionchoice.sqs in the mission folder of the Bleed mission.

Open it up and scroll down to #misfailed, then add the following, replacing everything down to goto "end"
