I wanted a laptop to fill a slot in my new mission. I didn't want it to do anything, just be used like the NamPack radio. Everything that you'd want it to do is scripted by the mission maker. With the aid of a "HasWeapon" command you can make it seem like the Laptop is actually doing something.

When My new mission "Stinger" comes out you'll see how I intended it to be used.

Full credit really has to go to Kyle Sarnik, Planck and Student Pilot as they did most of the foot work.

It fills a Binocular weapon slot. This is because when I put it as a secondary weapon, the model was high up on the player's back. The model is built into Flashpoint so there was no way I was going to change it.

If you need a pair of binos and NVGs then get an AI unit to carry it for you. You shouldn't need to give your AI buddies binos anyway for obvious reasons.

Please not that everything in the mission is scripted. The addon is just a shell with a picture.

I've mirrored this at OFPFiles for people to download. It looks ok but I think we'll need your mission to fully use it hehe. I'll give it a try soon tho and tell you what I think.

hehe nice laptop, but would be cool if you would be able to have it inside a laptop "backpack" dunno if thats what they are named in english. And you would be able to move out the laptop from the backpack so you could have it sitting on the ground or something , would be cool for armed assault or game 2 if you could have it like in your hands and you could open it and do stuff wtih it, with a gui and stuff. But thats just a idea for the future.

You can buy laptops that small quite easily (I saw one while buying my new laptop). It was fecking expensive for what it was though, the specs were fairly low, and the screen was horribly small (Picture quality was not bad though), and it was Å1000.. Better of buying a PDA for Å200..

(I can see why you have it like this if you needed it to be the right angle on the units back, if it was configed as AT Weapon

This addon proves how a small addon can make a huge diference on a mission, for example the mission in 1985 where we steal Gubas invisible notebook to find the scud launcher . In arma we should have the ability to pick objects such has this one, a small yet very usefull addon .
