C Site Island

Recommended Posts

When JP Beta was out I decided to make small fast island for multiplayer missions with dinos.

But finally the island is much more bigger and much, much more better than I wanted...

It has great jp atmosfere like trespasser game or even better.

It has some original places like valley or (see rest yourself).

I've tried to make this island lag free and I think that slow pc's can handle it on low detail.

If you have JP beta on your pc must have it!!!And it’s only 1 mb.Playing with dinos on it rocks...

That's awesome. The terrain in the map right after the broken railway was one of my favorites. I don't know if you have that in there, however I see some somewhat familiar places. That's great.

I always loved trespasser.

Man this island rocks, i've only got one tiny problem, none of the JP mod gates open, i dunno if thats because of the island or if its a JP mod bug. But overall, this rocks, keep it up dude notworthy.gif

There's a bit too much vegetation in some spots. I don't know what kind of computers you guys are running, but off the mark, no entities on map. My 3ghz doesn't run as nicely as I'd like it to. So I wonder how many ents you can actually put down before it starts becoming aggravatingly laggy.

Hmm...I have 1,5 Ghz and 512 RAM and it goes quite good with moving 30 dinos and my squad on it.Maybe you should change detail level...Hope that AA will change ofp lag problems

About the lags you get hornet in multiplayer.Could you check the same mission on nogova ?Maybe it's jb beta dino script fault...

I was thinking about that myself while I was playing Trespasser. Since the level of detail on the vegetation would go from crappy/nonexistent. To reasonable as you progressed toward it. Although in the end it wasn't exactly, pretty. It kept the game within some kind of frame budget. Although not even realistic for the time it was released.

I think maybe the lod issue is part of the problem. I think cutting back 15% on vegetation or trees in some areas may just give the little bit of performance boost it needs.

Hmm...I will try to make island playable on higher details by cutting some trees and bushes and maybe Lost Word mod will release new version of beta so fences and gates will be working whistle.gif

I too think its something with the scripts.. most noticable by the cryosauruses, the first ones from the west list.

Put about 5 in a group, and give them a waypoint.. and see, they hickup every second or so.

Then, add a raptor and see, when they flee the lags are gone.

So, looking at the script I wonder if it is need they have to know the hunterlist? shouldnt allowfleeing=1 not do the job?
