Akira 0 Posted September 23, 2005 Made it to S. Blythville. Couldn't get in to the police station even though I have free running because it was "too heavily barricaded." Hanging out in the Isgar Towers to the NE of Lovelock PD.
D.murphy man 0 Posted September 23, 2005 Both my characters are now leveling up fast after the first week or so of surviving. the fireman DL murphy is currently hiding out in Havercroft, in the sands building with about 5 others. And my main character Shell Shock whos a police man is in Lockettside inside the Grandon Place Police Dept. with about 30 others. Both characters have free running skill and shell shock has all the pistol training skills with 65% accuracy, now im mauling my way through zombies like theres no tomorrow. Also after about 4 weeks of playing now i have yet to be killed with either of my characters, and only one of them has been injured slightly from an active zombie character whilse out hunting. Pretty good luck so far apart from the marshment police dept. massicre from which i narrowly escaped from a few hours before the many launched there attack. Damn this game kicks ass! hopfully one day we'll see a 3D FPS version of some sort inspired by this!
WhoCares 0 Posted September 23, 2005 Both my characters are now leveling up fast after the first week or so of surviving. the fireman DL murphy is currently hiding out in Havercroft, in the sands building with about 5 others.... My N-Tec Snowbird (link on the previous page) is also in Havercroft, in the southern hospital of the pair of two up north. I paid a visit to the Ackland Mall and there were 19 Zombies outside at the SW corner of it!
sanctuary 16 Posted September 23, 2005 Made it to S. Blythville. Couldn't get in to the police station even though I have free running because it was "too heavily barricaded." Hanging out in the Isgar Towers to the NE of Lovelock PD. Even with Free Running, you can't enter an heavy barricade from the exterior, you need to be -inside- an adjacent building and then click on the heavy barricaded one. Free Running is allowing you in fact to move from inside a building to inside an adjacent one without going out of it, disregarding the barricade. Very nice to not fall in the middle of the street with 0AP and being a target for every zombies.
Akira 0 Posted September 23, 2005 I don't know how you guys are levelin'! Everytime I see a zombie, I use about 20 action points missing and then have to run off to hid while I regain some. EDIT: One zombie to the West in the Niche Building... I was screwin' around and went and got myself caught outside with no AP's. I'll have to wait half and hour so I can enter a building and then slip back into the PD
sanctuary 16 Posted September 23, 2005 If you don't have any pistol/shotgun/melee bonus, you should not even try to get XP by fighting zombies, that's just waste of AP and not effective. Searching and operating near hosptial seems the best way to go for now. By example, my secondary characater is a civilian that had only the shopping skill. At first i tried to attack zombies without gaining any kind of XP. Later, i just went into a hospital , searched it to get 1st aid kits , then proceeded to heal any kind of people (without the diagnostic skill, you can often waste 1 AP to find that someone don't need heal), then repeat. Each time you heal someone with 1 "1st aid kit" you gain 5 XP By doing this lot of time, my secondary character gain enough XP to buy a skill (and so a level). Now he is always on his healing mission , then i will be able to buy another skill , giving bonus to weapons so i can try to fight zombies with him. Try to heal people coming into the hospital, or the ones that are stuck outside (those ones usually are target for zombies attacks and usually need lot of healing)
Akira 0 Posted September 23, 2005 New character for me Frumpy McDumpkins Already has more XP in 15 minutes than my other guy in 2 weeks of playing. Presently stuck in Galbraith Hills at the Wasson Square PD with a buttload of other people. Zombies everywhere up here. Trying to make it down to Blythville. sanctuary 16 Posted September 23, 2005 Strangely and unlike any kind of games of the same genre, you have a lot of difficulties to get XP (and even more difficulties if you try some of the non combat classes) when you begin the game in the 1st level (you are just a target actually), while you get XP very quickly once you have 3/4 levels. sanctuary 16 Posted September 24, 2005 It seems Sanc Tuary has been killed during a zombie raid in the Herbert Road Police Dept in North Blythville. That's what happen when you totally forget you have a character in a police dpt that has seen a previous zombies raid in which one i have killed 2 zombies (they certainly wanted to get revenge on him, i should have moved away after dropping all the corpses outside) Who said North Blythville was a peacefull suburb As soon as he will be revived, with all the pistols, shotgun, flares gun fully loaded , and the pistol fire bonus , there will be some revenge on lonely zombies in North Blythville The civilian Sanctu operating in Shackleville is now having a doctor job and got his 3rd level of healing other people with each 5XP it gives. Pathy 0 Posted September 24, 2005 Well ive been spending the last few days in lovelock plaza PD in S blythville, searching for ammo and stocking up. I now have 10 fully loaded shotguns, 7 fully loaded pistols, and about 5 pistol mags to spare Going to save up my APs now and then go off Z hunting.
NeMeSiS 11 Posted September 24, 2005 Heh, when i got some more action points, im leaving South blytville, i just spent 30 APs on trying to find a zombie and i didnt find
Pathy 0 Posted September 24, 2005 Thats why its a great place to stock up on *ahem* "wares" before heading out to trade goods with the Zs
D.murphy man 0 Posted September 24, 2005 all my characters are doing well at the moment, not too many Zeds around but enough to keep m ocupied. Any one else notice that the forums are down?
sanctuary 16 Posted September 24, 2005 After having been re-killed in front of a NecroTech building , the now zombie Sanc Tuary is standing up again and now waiting outside of the Hebditch Building (the Necrotech building) , with some other zombies in North Blythville, waiting to be revived. Maybe in South Blythville it is quiet enough to stock ammo , in North Blythville, the police dpt i was searching has been raided twice by a zombie group despite having been strongly barricaded twice. So if you look for action, once you got enough ammo in South Blythville, move to north for zombie hunting.
NeMeSiS 11 Posted September 24, 2005 Quote[/b] ]24th September 2005Something pestilential is spreading and mutating in the blood and guts of the undead - NecroTech DNA scans are beginning to pick up a number of specimens who are host to an unknown pathogen. Any survivors who suffer an Infectious Bite should seek immediate medical attention. Sounds scary
sanctuary 16 Posted September 24, 2005 Oh, another time killed in front of this Necrotech building. This time hit several time by a zombie then by a living, as much as i can understand the living guy wanting to get XP, the zombie action was really stupid. Well, now will move to another suburbs and Necrotech building trying to find less idiots for a revive.
Harnu 0 Posted September 25, 2005 wtf -> You are Patronus. You have 50 Hit Points and 102 Experience Points. You have 1 Action Points remaining. You have run out of Action Points. Action Points are restored at the rate of one every half hour - check back later in the day, or tomorrow, to continue. lol
Sniperwolf572 756 Posted September 25, 2005 Similar thing happened to me, it skipped from 2AP to 0AP but while having 0AP i was still able to do another action (take shelter in an PD)
Harnu 0 Posted September 25, 2005 Damned bugs. Anyone here in south blyville have any info on zombies? I just searched to the north and around north blyville, and there wasn't a single undead.
Sniperwolf572 756 Posted September 25, 2005 They must have dug in well BTW 3 Characters I play with, no idea on location. - D10 - Scout - SW572 - Grunt (?) - Angry Scientist - Necro Guy (?)
NeMeSiS 11 Posted September 25, 2005 Well, i found 1 lonely zombie west of South Blythville, but i 1-hit-killed it After that i had just enough APs to run back to the police station...
Daddl 10 Posted September 25, 2005 You are Patronus. You have 50 Hit Points and 102 Experience Points. You have 1 Action Points remaining. If you have 100 points better spend them immediately - when you get turned into a zombi and someone kils you with a headshot you might loose quite some points! My scientists are leveling quite fast now. Best tactics is to search for med kits and to heal people. If you get diagnosis early on, you don't waste APs on trying to find the wounded. Once you get lab experience the APs really start flowing in - and syringes are 'one shot one kill' zombi wasters. With nearly 100% efficiency...

If you have 100 points better spend them immediately - when you get turned into a zombi and someone kils you with a headshot you might loose quite some points! That's exactly how i lost 50XP in just 1 day since none seems to want to revive zombies in those North Blythville / Brooksvill suburbs , i have been headshot-ed several time during the 4/5 time i was killed just today while waiting for a revive in front of Necrotech buildings, costing me finally the 50 XP i had :/ . Never wait before buying a skill if you are at 100XP, because if you die and you can't find a Necrotech guy with the revive skill quickly, prepare to lose all the XP you had, as it seems the people with the zombie hunter skill are not rare at all (i think mostly everyone i met as a zombie have that skill).
