HK Aerial from Terminator

Hi,

Like I promised you, I have made the HK Aerial for machine's patrol :

I have also updated all the other addOn (T800 with better shadow etc...HunterKiller and Human as resistant side). And I have created two mission with the movie sound....

If you want to play the T800, take the Terminator II mission and if you prefer play the human resistance, choose Terminator III.

All this addOns are free, and you can use or modify them like you want. I'm sure lot of bodies could do better from this addOns.

This might be a problem on my end. When I put the flying HK as an AI, I seem to get this error (script\Redwolf\scripts\HKAerialanim2.sqs not found)

When I put it down as empty no problems at all. Looks and flies like a charm. A true terror of the sky! Very nice work XPETIT.....this makes me want to drag out my collection of dark horse terminator comics smile_o.gif

Thank's for the observation. I have modified a little thing.

Can you reloading the HKAerial and test it to say to me if the matter is solve?

And have you try the mission? How do you feel it?

A couple of hundred years ago i fiddled with scifi models when learning O2. In order to get rid of the forward tilt when accelerating the craft, exchange the config lines:

maxMainRotorDive=0;

maxBackRotorDive=-0;

minMainRotorDive=-0;

minBackRotorDive=0;

...with this:

maxMainRotorDive=45;

maxBackRotorDive=-45;

minMainRotorDive=-45;

minBackRotorDive=45;

Hi XPETIT. I played the terminator III mission and I didn't have the INQ_weapons pack. So I did a little config work, and it played fine. Nice atmosphere with the music and backround sound. This might be fixed in your last update but when firing full auto the laser and plasma make no sound. And the laser has no optics. I'll download them again as this all might be fixed now. I'm still using your earlier work.

The updated airHK works great now. LOL their just as deadly when you shoot them down, as you have 2 pissed off T800's to deal with smile_o.gif

Nice sound and laser work on the AIRHK, maybe you could use the same laser speed and sound on the Tank HK?

Good news about the HKAerial. But for the sound of the guns (laser of resistant and T800), it's curious. Perhaps a matter of power at your PC? On mine, the sound are good...Have you try with just one T800 or resistant in mission editor? Is there anybody that have the same matter?

About the mission, it's because I used an AddOn for an MGgun in the village. The INQ_weapons is very knew. But I will deleted it in the mission for give it compatible with every boby.

Aye, sounds start getting cut up if OFP starts stugling. Put 50 units on a map, and fire a MG, you start missing bits of the sound (The end of it mostly). I guess if the sound is short, it could easily miss out the whole thing..

Try putting the Aerial thing alone on the desert island (Aww tounge2.gif), and fire the gun, see if it makes a sound?

Actually the problem was with the handheld T800 and human weapons. And I think I found the problem in this bit of code.

When I set the 0 to a 1 I get sound smile_o.gif

And I also found an alternate laser sound for the HKTank gun inside the HK pbo called canons. Sounds nice so I ues that sound now.

Hi,

I have modified the files T800 and Laser gun to obtain icon of the weapons and no matter of sounds. I have also corrected Hunterkiller about a minor problem.

And finally, I have remade the two missions to be totally compatible. Now, you just need to have my AddOns (T800, HKAerial, HunterKiller and LaserGun), and you can choose your weapons at the beginning from a large list of weapons.

Hi XPETIT, Just to let you know there were afew terminator addons from the past but I could only find 1 right now. It was made by {Blink dog}, a female T800 here's a pic Terminator family smile_o.gif

You can find her in I think the second amazon pack he made. A little gun/team/armor tweak and she'll put Arnold to shame smile_o.gif

Hey XPETIT. Can you or anyone else display the config for the terminator with the proper script to make a terminator group? I'm still kinda new to config work. I'd like to have multiple terminators with different weapons working together.

I've been looking for sci-fi weapons and found a bunch of different kinds of miniguns. And I just need a group of about 5 term's to equip. They can all keep their main gun the M-27. I'll just replace them later.

And not to worry they are not for re-release.

Hi,

It's not difficult to make a team of T800. In the Mission editor of the game, add in a map a first T800 and make it Colonel (for exemple). Then, add other T800 on the map near of the first but make them with lower level (soldier for example). Now, you can play the "colonel" T800 or give him the way point. The team will follow him.

About weapons, I advice you to decrypt the mission I have made (use pbo_decryptor for exemple). Then open with the little soft Ofp_editor the description file. You will see how you can create or modify the weapon list in the beginning briefing of the mission.

For your information, I think I will create a last weapon (the heavy plasma rifle with red beam).

NB : Don't worry for any release you want to do. Like I said, my addOns are for the community and you can use them like you want. It's for me a pleasure to see some adds around Terminator.

Thanks XPETIT I kinda already knew that smile_o.gif

But no problem I was going for the way you have the resistance units set up. I added the female terminator to your terminator team with an oversized minigun. I was just looking for a way to add 2 more T800's in the cofig so I could change their weapons without having to remove/add things in mission editor.

My missions are kinda like sandpaintings......not works of art mind you..... I just tend not to save them a whole lot. Thus time used in scripting is usually lost. Translation...I just like to play around smile_o.gif

After looking at your res units configs I should be able to work it out. banghead.gif

ps. Is the heavy plasma like the weapon the terminator had in the infiltration scene in T1?........best scene of the movie!

Hi,

Yes it's the weapon use by the Terminator who fight in the cave and detected by the dogs. In fact, I want add a terminator with flesh, like you see with the female, and with this gun.

Awesome addons, just one minor bug. There is no optic for the RES soldier's plasma rifle. Other than that these are very original units. Thanks

Black Baron has made a T800 too.

This addons are nice, specially de HK tank and the Aerial HK, but as said before it will look much better with improved textures.

Appart of this, the T-800 is final or beta? because it looks a little bit poor in details...

Anyway great stuff
