it would be clever to use weapons from excellent weapon packs like SJB for example.

i think it would also be kool if you could change the head wear of the unit weather you want a cap or a hat or a helmet. aslo how about 302 pilot uniforms? and air force blue uniform

I agree. However, it's really nice some weapons are included in the addons such as the SGC soldiers (P90). Not sure if that weapon was remade but including it so you don't have another extra download is user friendly. smile_o.gif

This causes serious problems when you're trying to crew vehicles in first person view. I don't recommend it, it's not worth the trouble.

And there are better P90's out there than the one that the SG soldiers use.

Introduction

------------

This is the long awaited update to the DSF Stargate, an enhancement to the BXBX gate.

A lot of the gate has been completely rewritten.

The gates now have manual dialling. The SGC dialling computers have address books.

Installation

------------

Copy the DSF_SG_DHD.pbo to your Addons directory.

You MUST also have a copy of SG_DHD.pbo, be it ours, Walmis' or the original BX gate.

Here is the Public Beta, report any bugs and they will be fixed within 24 hours.

Read the ReadMe else you won't get them to work, thats a promise.

Anyone reporting a bug due to not reading the readme will be ignored.

Have fun and remember this is a Public Beta so if theres any new functions you'd like added or removed, improved for missions etc just tell us and we'll see if we can included in the next RC.

Note: Use DHD(old) for the moment untill Walmis releases his new DHD.

Ok Wow, call me a complete retard but i cant get this gate to work in anyway?!

Firstoff dailing the offworld gate is very hard, because the symbols on the dhd are all orderd arround the main powercrystal "Activation button" i find it very hard to see wich symbol i need to push. Shouldn't these be the same way up as on the adress book??

With every script i use i get a message saying the script can not be found so i cant get the ai to dail the gate. so i cant use the tablets either.

I also cant get the earth gate to dail from the database, might be because i cant name the gates "abydos" or whatever.

Anybody else having this or did i miss something?

And yes i am using the 1.2 missions

BXBX is making a MALP. model is ready but need config and scripts.

there's one silenced weapon ( u can switch silencer ). as i said few days ago, weapon pack will be released in same pack with bxbx's staffweapons and sgc_soldiers updated  smile_o.gif

They should be called like this:

and not

[this, "Abydos"] exec "\DSF_SG_DHD\NamedGate.sqs"

this new gate is looks great but cant use the dhd 1.2 comes up with an error about a missing p3d

the message reads

Quote[/b] ]cannot open object ws_dhd\ws_dhd.p3d

Can't get it working, what am I doing wrong?

I attached a mission file that has two gates setup but no matter what adress of these two I dial it won't work. sad_o.gif

Simply copy it to your \users\yourname\missions\ folder, load up the original desert map and then load the mission. Maybe someone can look at it and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

DSF please may u release a mission to show us how the gate works i read the readme even with the correct script it still wont work. do you add the script to the gate or the dhd?

none of the addresses i give to my custom gates work.

they get random addresses in stead of the ones i assign to them.

an example mission would be helpfull, thank you

Every script from your readme.txt, which I put into the stargate ini is false and the game not go on. I do everything as you write, but it doesnt work! help.gif
