Understood! In that case could the cannon sound be made to loop continuously?

Because it fires in bursts, the sound has to play a 5 shot sound every time it fires; I'm not sure what you mean by a continuous sound.

I think he means kind of like a chaingun, how the M230 ingame has a momentatry stop but then continues, unlike most helicopters (that are also generally nonstop fire) dont have that until they stop.

That's because the gun doesn't give a non-stop stream of fire; theres a miniscule delay between every 5 rounds being shot. You only get "full auto" if you're the gunner.

Yeah thats what I meant by the momentary stop, you fire the gun as a gunner and see if you still dont hear it,then again the guns on the rest of the aircraft have probably a 1-2 second 1 shot which covers the rest.

Since we probally all have seen the famous footage of the apache in iraq. Isnt anybody hearing a bit of a difference between the two versions in the sound the gun makes!

Ive changed it for myself cuz I didnt like the burst mode, I changed it to full auto so to speak and also changed the sound. I took the sound of the CBT Humvee 50cal and now it sounds better... More like your actually firing a cannon instead of starting up a chainsaw. biggrin_o.gifsmile_o.gif

Lol,currently were ceasing work on the apache's unless Franze has a script or two or change he wants to do,its been a wee bit hectic with all the stuff being made and worked on,we have 10 or so vehicles, anyway I spoke of the MLRS before, heres a beta preview of it [im]http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/5893/mlrsbetastorm2jp.jpg[/img]>100kb

I'm sort of jumping from vehicle to vehicle so I won't get bored, been messing with the Kiowa and found that I was able to actually fly through a forest with little to no problems, tried to sink into the tree line once while using the MMS and nothing but it,hit a tree or something,it demonstrated just how agile the Kiowa is to getting out of bad situations like that, instead of the general "flips and smacks the ground and explodes" it managed to flip itself back over before it hit the ground,I'm pretty impressed with this little buzzer, heres the footage of it for those of you who would rather see my screw up http://media.putfile.com/screwup

Yeah, these are usually referred to as "LAGIR." The problem is that they don't really exist yet except for on the test launcher. The idea is nice, although it will be interesting to see how well it performs. I'm a bit dubious of it's ability to fire and lock on after it's been launched when the target is moving.

That all said, the chances of it coming into the arsenal is pretty damn good. They're looking at putting this on EVERYTHING, whether it has wings, rotors, or keels (read: Ships). Time will tell.

APKWS is already featured (despite its inavailibility in real life) on the aircraft. To load APKWS rockets, load 8HF and 38 rockets, then scroll down and select "Load 38 APKWS Rockets". You can do the same with the 76 rocket loadout. Only the AH-64A Modern and AH-64Ds can load APKWS rockets.

I'm kind of suprised nobody really knew they were featured. huh.gif

They're ideal for attacking light targets like BMPs, ZSU, etc.

ofp.info never bothered to update their screenshots, and the ones we did wouldn't work for them, so they just used screenshots from the betas. If I remember correctly, I changed them in the 1.1 release.

I would like to say one thing real quick..those of you with the stick, will be able to fly the kiowa with much more ease,Franze wanted to make it more fun to fly and I believe he did that..infact I remembeer actually flipping the helicopter onto its back in the sky when I rolled oh and eh,stay tuned.

[im]http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/9520/kiowa27cy.jpg[/img]>100kb

if Franze wishes these images to be removed they shall and don't beat me with a fish this time Franze x.x

and btw the helicopter crew got new doors which is why they don't blend with the rest of the helicopter, the outter texture was my first attempt at a dirty look,to see if the rivets exist I'd suggest looking close. Oh yes and again, don't be eratic with the keyboard...infact if you have a stick..I'd suggest you use that instead.
