Bis relased some new pictures from Terrain Pack 3. We can see that CSLA do nice work. About pack aren't any information, only it what you see on picture. We can be happy that BIS relase some informations.

Pretty much anytime a modmaker(s) "suddenly" has other things to do and a great project gets "put on hold"

I'm just talking facts here. I saw all the guys who put stuff on hold and then they were all in vbs so I dont know why you'd dispute that other than just for the sake of it.

I for one wouldnt call them traitors either. They were asked to contribute to VBS based on their work quality and they said yes.

We should be disscussing the upcomming Update 1 & FIA pack here. This is what concerns CSLA team works.

Concerning CSLA's project generally, including Lacerta status: Lacerta project is on hold due to several reasons.

a/ Some CSLA team members had left the team (completely or partially) due to whatever reasons (family, job, girlfriends....) and we are understaffed now.

b/ In order to keep CSLA projects running, it was necessary to became more focused and don't split effort to multiple projects to be able to finish at least one of them. Decision was to finish Update1 and add FIA pack to it, because these themes are closely connected to original CSLA aim. Lacerta, althought promising, was only side branch booster pack for CSLA mod.

c/ CSLA is and will be Warshaw pact army mod (wrong side, bad and ugly guys)

d/ With the people leaving CSLA also some knowhow, possibilities, capacities and techniques are gone. Thus, Lacerta is on hold, doesn't mean that it is cancelled, but if resurrected one day, certainly will not look as was presented before (low staff, different people, different look and aim). Will be better or worse, who knows?

This post is to close offtopic discussion and to give info. We respect the community and hope this statement is enough to clear the situation.

At the end of this post I have to say that I always apreciated matureness of this forum and its members. Thus I was surprised by some childish posts and reactions.

Update:

The upcoming patch of CSLA MOD will contain some new units. Our colleagues from Python Art Studio made contemporary troops of Army of Czech Republic and Landrovers, which will become part of CSLA Mod. In this preview, you can see what you can expect from final addon. We are sure this addition will liven up our mod in great way and we look forward to final units from Pythons.

We would like to express gratitude to Martinius and TheSun, authors of the addons, for their contribution .

Joint project with other Czech team. Since ACR uses most of older equipment depicted in CSLA Mod, making it part of CSLA is a logic step. That's why the logo.

Better like this: Hats off to Python Art Studio for these excellent units... which wud be released as part of CSLA 2.

However, Python guys will probably release some stand-alone versions as well - it is their business if they do so, but I don't see point in it. It is not about some mod rivalry; in my opinion, CSLA Mod has things that make ACR addon complete... I am glad Martinius thinks the same.

However, Jagy and his company have very bold plans for the future, and you will have chance to experience another load of top notch Czech addons in Armed Assault.

CSLA Team is still alive, working on different things, but still keeping an eye on the CSLA Mod. But it's time now for talented youth to step in, don't you think?
