hey1986 0 Posted May 11, 2005 how do i make the animations work in those buildings that i planted in the visitor?Do we script it or make changes to the config.cpp file? what i did: 1. i extracted just the building.p3d file from a building pack. 2. copy it to the data3d folder so that i could plant it in the map using visitor. 3. compile it to a .pbo file then place it in the addon folder 4. the animations doesn't work during gameplay
surpher 1 Posted May 11, 2005 What you should have done is. 1. UnPbo the building pack. 2. Place the resulting folder in the buldozer folder. 3. Do your thing in Visitor. 4. Have the building pack addon in your addons folder.
hey1986 0 Posted May 12, 2005 thats what i did. all the .p3d files i added them into the buldozer data3d folder, same as the .paa files in the data folder. however the animations still dont work. The building pack .pbo is also in the addons folder.
surpher 1 Posted May 12, 2005 You don't have to put the .p3d files in the data3d folder or the .paa file in the data folder. Here's a screenshot of the way I have it setup.
hey1986 0 Posted May 26, 2005 then how did you set up the system preferences?
hey1986 0 Posted May 29, 2005 Z drive? u mean your Z drive contains your flashpoint folder, because i see that your buldozer folder is in the C drive.
hey1986 0 Posted June 2, 2005 why do you say Z: drive? It will make visitor crash only.
surpher 1 Posted June 2, 2005 Z: is a virtual drive, very easy to setup. Open up notepad, and type the following. subst Z: "C:\buldozer" then save it with a name of your choice with the .BAT extension, mines called "prepareOFPE.BAT". Place it on your desktop and run it before you start Visitor. I got this information from >>here<<
