Yep DBR_ONIX, I found that util. I have a functioning Millenium Falcon now, added landing gear and some other stuff to it and scaled it for OFP. It works pretty well, although for some reason it gets batted around like a fly when it gets hit, and that's with a 10000 mass. I'm not sure if adding more will help, or if that's just OFP physics.

Even importing a model there's a ton of work to be done on cfg and other O2 OFP stuff.

I might whip up some rebel fighters. At least this'll do until someone with real skills can create a better one. I think cell7 was working on the Falcon and his looks really promising.

Nice bird, use Philcommando's multiturret idea on it, and improve the textures on it, and it would rock! biggrin_o.gif

If you can, you could make it enterable (mirror it first, cause to my knowledge the cockpit has to be on this side ), wich would expand the possibilities even more!

I'm surprised I didn't notice the cockpit was on the wrong side, lol. I have a model that I built many moons ago sitting on a shelf behind me that I should have looked at.

I'm not that great with the 3D modeling, however. I do a ton of mission making and scripting but I don't have much time for making a really nice and detailed model. I've been wanting something to play with in my Sci-Fi missions for the rebels, so that's why I went ahead and started putting this bird together.

If Cell7's X-Wing is anything to judge by, his Falcon will be excellent.

BTW, you said that you got some missing script errors? I might have accidentally changed the path in one of the scripts so it was looking in the wrong place.

Also, does anyone know how to keep this thing from getting swatted around like a rag doll when it's hit? I had a TIE Defender knock me to about -900kph from concussion missiles hitting, and the Falcon has a 10,000 mass!

I think this has to do with the damage the TIE-defender did, let me molest your Falcon with some other ammunition.

both the M1A1 and M109 Adats didn't have allot of effect. The falcon got bounced back, and tumbled, but not as severe as you put it (900km/h) The record I withnessed was 200km/h reverse heading for the sky.

I suggest you fiddle about with the mass. good luck!

10,000 mass is only 10,000kg which is 10 tonnes smile_o.gif make it about 30,000 :P

OK, I'll mess with that. Mainly this has happend during a dogfighting DM that I made. When you spawn, you get a menu to choose which fighter you want. A couple of us were flying the falcon and got knocked about pretty good.

The odd thing is that when I updated the F-15E, I gave it more mass to keep it from getting tossed around by adats, and I put it at 3500 or something and now it doesn't have any issues, so I was surprised at the Falcon with a 10k mass getting batted around.

Well I upped the mass to 200K and now it works fine. I could probably lower it to 100K and it'd work as well. After several dogfighting sessions, it took a beating but didn't get batted around.

The problem with the ship, of course, is that it presents such a huge target. Several people seem to love to fly it though.

On another note I've been messing with the Speeder Bikes from Sebastian Muller that came out in 2002. I've reconfigged them so now they have lasers and can drive over water (due to their repulsors). We've been playing some CTF's with them and they work pretty well in MP. I just need to tweak a couple more things.

ATM the lasers are on a 360 turret which isn't really within keeping of the ones from the movie that had just straight-facing lasers, but I figured it might make up for the fact that you can't draw a blaster and fire it at people. One problem also is that the speeders kick up dust even when over water.

Anyway, I'll drop a link here sometime once I've compiled it.

Before you release it (speederbike) could you add a passanger seat?. It always annoyed me that it only had a driver position.

For some odd reason it's already configged for a passenger, but there's no proxy for it. I guess they could sit to the back of the seat since I don't want to try to modify the model to add a longer seat. Right now when someone gets in, they're invisible so I'll see if I can add a passenger proxy to it that won't look odd.

I am making Tropica City, from the Ocean-world Kamino

These are very, very early basic work-in-progress models.

Soon you will be able to run around the walkways, and even enter the cloning facility (the big ass one). The location is related to Episode II, however the mission will take place after Episode III.

Here are some shots of Coruscant

Once the website gets back up, I'll post a video of how MASSIVE this city can be with NO LAG.  It's simply amazing.  We hope you'll infact be able to walk and fly around this massive city.  It's definately something to be looking forward to.

Again, these are early, early  screenshots just like the Kamino screenshots on page 4.

The textures on the buildings will be conciderably higher in detail, it will feel like a living, breathing city when we add City Ambience to it.  You seen nothing yet.

And more good news, the site should be back up within 1-4 hours!

I really don't know yet. I'll probably add only one building with a landing platform, and that one building you will be able to enter inside of, and mosey around.

All my addons are being specifically designed for the Campaign. Meaning alot of addons wont allow free-roaming.

Of course you can walk around if you want, but it wont be as detailed as following the path the campaign will take you

2. place allot of buildings with dark / white sparkled textures around

and wait till he crashes and burns...

look! , that's the way those buildings are constructed...

But I guess it's all just a wip. time will tell.

To be honest I did'nt pull if off at all, the game itself pulled it off, lol.

I basically went psycho with the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V buttons, and amazingly it worked.

Even the screenshots you see don't do it justice, what you see on the screenshots are literally slapped everywhere on the map.

I also know that people might think the buildings look shitty.  well I agree, they are shitty.  But I just wanted to see what the game was capable of before really going in depth with detail.

I was able to get a few screenshots from my DVD, and I'm paying very close detail to Coruscants lighting and buildings.

Here is poor Obi Wan holding on for dear life.  But I'm looking at where the arrows are pointing, I see 2 things that I'll be adding to the city, a catwalk type of connection of buildings, with a landing platform.  This is going to be really cool, mostly if you're playing as a bounty hunter, like Zam, and your mission is to Snipe somebody down below.

This screenshot here is what I mean by "looking for the colors Coruscant has at night".  I see some green, I see blue, purple, red, yellow, and all the other colors.  When I begin making the actual real city instead of a Beta tested city, I'm forcing myself to make it look just like it is in the movie.

One interesting problem I'll have to solve is this following screenshot.  Obi Wan is falling, and we can see some very bright lights down below.  Sure we got buildings, but what do I add for the bottom part of the city?  This is going to be a difficult part.

I'm also seeing these massive advertisements in the movie, like this circular thing.  I'll be adding this type of stuff everywhere in the city, just as if it were a billboard advertisement on the highway.

So with all that being said, the screenshots I posted are going to be completely remade, with enhanced/advanced lighting, more detail, better building lights, more variety in textures, ambience vehicles, and buildings.

Once all that is done, I'll post new screenshots for you guys, and probably a video. smile_o.gif

Hands down, I think this will be the most badass Island ever released for Operation Flashpoint.
