Now I added ammocrate named "SAKE_FireCrate".

To use this addon another unit,

add this script:

unitname addEventHandler ["Fired",{[_this] exec "\FIRE\fireEffect\init.sqs"}];

I Updated file as same link.

would be nice one for ww1 if the textures get a bit rustier and dustier (is the grammar right?)

Good job! One thing I found lacking, though, was the fire effect itself - how about using the animationphase? You know, the [0] in the end of the drop command. Might make it look a little better. Other than that, I really like it!

They say "scalding hot !! AHhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" as SideChat.

Is it correct expression in english?

I may be going to try using animationphase.

But, I want to let AI fire first.

I don't know how AI choose fire or not.

Thank you for trying this addon smile_o.gif

They might say that if you threw a pan of boiling water on them.

It's likely they wouldn't say anything. They'd probably just scream.

A lot.

I would like to see a WW2 era flame thower; more specifically the ones the marines used. (Kind of like the one in windtalkers)

tanks would get damaged by a flamethrower, but quite slowly (or quickly)

if it had Reactive armour... boooooom

if it had steel armour, it would melt down, and then residual heat could set off the ammo containers

The Flamethrower of the WWIIEC pack is very useful against tanks. The tank catches fire and the crew jumps out after some time (sometimes they also catch fire).

Is this working in Multiplayer too?

Fantastic!!

Now it's my favorite weapon!

I hope RHS will contact you - they need similar scripts for thier flamethrowers.

Man! This is outstanding - it's the best flamethrower for OFP rules I have ever seen. It rocks!

Thank you very much for making it, and letting us all have it.

Can;t wait to see an update.

That's good news. The only thing is. Would it be possible for you make a lite version of the flame/smoke effects? On my faster pc this beauty works fine, but I'm concerned about other computers that may run this in a deathmatch. It seems like the effects could possibly be a bit intensive for some later model pcs.

The number, speed of creation and animation rate of cloudlets would probably be where I'd start. I know if you start messing with the amount of time the script updates you'll get a fire that sort of lags behind a person.

Don't know about really old PCs, but mine is kind of weak, and it handles these flames just fine.
