What do you play Ofp with?

Recommended Posts

for me playing OFP is not about CPU speed, its the RAM which make it smooth(hell with my 1GB ram i can run some bigass MP mission filled with AIs under view distence 2500 without a lag which many other computers cant)

Well, for gameplaying the two largest aspects is; CPU and RAM... Mine is going to have 3 Ghz and 1024 mb RAM... If you want a comp. more for work it´s harddrive and CPU that´s most important...

Since my pc crashed a few months ago and I'm waiting for some inspiration to fix it, I run OFP on a Laptop with Pentium Centrino 1400Mhz and 504MB RAM. My settings are therefore quite a bit lower than I'd like to have them, but at least it runs and I can play a fairly decent game of Flashpoint online. It’ll have to do for now.

Whats faster: An Intel Celeron 3,2 Ghz (does not exist  tounge_o.gif ) or an Intel P4 3,2 Ghz HTT? What do you think?

The non-Celeron is bigtime faster. We have a Celeron 2.4@3.2 and under a load it chokes.I guesstimate that under a load its about a P3 700 and almost good enough to play games but its not.My son can barely play Bf42 and he has the Celeron w/512 ram and Fx5600

We also have a Celeron 2.6 in another machine (this line of Celerons are garbage compared to the old ones)

I use a P4 2.8G 533bus

512x2 ddr400 ram

Powercooler Raedon 9800se softmod to 9800 pro (faster than my oldest sons Saphire 9800 pro)

OFP runs ok,Medal Of Honor Pacific Assault runs ok altho I don't run it on highest settings

P4 2,4 CPU

512 RAM >> upgrading to 1 gig soon..

6600GT>> nice, fast, reliable and cheap!

No reason to upgrade anytime soon, seeing all the crap games and console ports being released nowadays it wouldnt be worth the investment, maybe when/if OPF's sequel comes out wink_o.gif

Guest RKSL-Rock

Main PC:

AMD Athlon 64 3400+

2Gig RAM

Radeon 9600Pro 256Mb

Workstation (On loan from my latest client):

AMD Athlon 64bit 4000+ 939pin 1MB Cache

2Gig DDR2

Radeon Ati Fire Gl X3-256

To be honest the Athlon64 3400+ is much better value for money. OFP Runs pretty much the same on either box.

AMD 64 3500+ S939 130 nm

2 x 512 MB DDR400 RAM in dual channel

Geforce 6800 GT 256 MB (which has no noticeable advantage to the 9800 XT I used before)

OFP runs great on this, the AMD 64 CPU gave me a HUGE boost compared to the AMD Athlon XP 2400+ I had before.
