Messiah 2 Posted March 6, 2006 it always was? perhaps you LOD settings arent setup correctly, so you were seeing a lower resolution LOD
Daniel 0 Posted March 6, 2006 Looks superb! I know theres a lot of new model involved, does that mean the back door is no longer flat?
imutep 0 Posted March 6, 2006 Hi Messiah, the new Screens you posted on your site looks really nice. I was so free and post them on our Site. Very, very good Job!!! Greetings Imutep OFP.4players.de
dkell3 0 Posted March 6, 2006 hmm,I wonder why my muzzle looks diamond shaped. All my settings are maxed,in the game and on my 9800 pro.Check out the image, first one in my photobucket account. http://photobucket.com/albums/y295/kellnj/ Password:Flight
Messiah 2 Posted March 6, 2006 yeah, thats weird - thats a lower LOD - check your flashpoint prefences, goto advanced and under one of the tabs set the objects resolution LOD slider all the way to the right to get a round barrel. @ Dan - back door is indeed no longer flat, has alot of new lumps and bumps, as well as an exterior control panel to open and close it (aesthetical of course) @ Imutep - glad to see you like the screenshots - we'll be updating out sire quite regularly from now on with new pictures - next week, who knows

dkell3 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Thanks Messiah, after bumping that up I got a round barrel.Problem is that is screws up my textures on the vehicles.
orson 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Could you post a screen shot please ? I am asuming its regarding texture size . Within flashpoint preferences advanced settings adjust the available texture sizes to highest you can . If you get a significantly bad performance you can drop the settings back down . Messiah 2 Posted March 7, 2006 the reason our vehicle was set up as is was because in the highest LOD its pretty CPU hungry - hence only those with the better pc's would usually see the top LOD - the 2nd pack has got the top LOD dropped a littlew in value, so a few more of you should see it, but only when you're right next to it
dkell3 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Here is two examples. First pic in the account,is with the level of detail, all the way up.I get a round barrel Second pic,is with it set to standard 0.019.Diamond shaped barrel. Messiah 2 Posted March 7, 2006 the first pic is the top LOD, the 2nd is the 2nd LOD - the LOD level for the warrior on the highest LOD was 0.00 in the original release (hence why you have to bump the settings up) the textures you getting on the highest LOD are awful though - in the flashpoint preferences makes sure the textures sizes are 4096x4096 - if my pc can handle that, then yours certainly can: the original release promo pictures were taken on my pc: 3ghz HT 1024 Ram 126 Graphics yours more that matches and betters that rig, yet the highest LOD appears much better in mine... play with the settings to get the best version of our warrior rest assured, the next release, we have bumped down the highest LOD setting a little, so that you dont have to go through this charade of editing and changing preferences
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted March 7, 2006 Check Hardware T&L remains on when you switch up the Objects LOD setting. I get similar texture blurring with my Radeon 9800 when HW T&L goes off.
dkell3 0 Posted March 7, 2006 @Messiah,I got it to work correctly.I changed my texture size and now I have a round barrel and the textures are clear.Altough I dont see 4096x4096,my highest setting is 2048x2048.Thanks again. @Monkey,your right on the T&L.That was the problem. Messiah 2 Posted March 7, 2006 dkell3 - if your highest is 2048, thats because you're opening the incorrect preferences... there should be two preferences in your ofp start menu - one is called: operation flashpoint preferences and the other flashpoint preferences the first is the original CWC preferences, the second is the resistance preferences, which adds the ability to use large texture sizes etc... make sure you edit your preferences in the second one. good to hear its working though
llauma 0 Posted March 7, 2006 2048 can very well be the highest resolution his card supports, hence he can't choose 4096.
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted March 7, 2006 Only goes up to 2048 in FlashpointPreferences for me as well mate. So I guess it's the card; IIRC my old NVidia card went higher.
Messiah 2 Posted March 7, 2006 aaah, i just thought it was a flashpoint thing cheers for clearing that up guys
