DKM Jaguar 0 Posted November 24, 2005 My contribution Large Version Most of the hull textures and some of the turret textures are very early in developement there, so it does look clean and it does lack some detail. It is not representative of the final Challenger.

LoTekK 0 Posted November 24, 2005 Cor. These new toys are looking sexy as hell. While I'm not a big armor fan in the game, those are definitely looking ace. I'm especially looking forward to the new Land Rovers, though.

Very exciting for us to be making these addons and we really cant wait to get them all finished and move on to the next lot of projects we are currently or will be making. Just like to thank our advisors, beta testers and also the guys who have gathered all our ref images, so we can actually make addons as real to life as possible. Przezdzieblo 0 Posted November 25, 2005 My contribution Large Version Most of the hull textures and some of the turret textures are very early in developement there, so it does look clean and it does lack some detail. It is not representative of the final Challenger. Looks pretty well. But is the model (I mean shape) in the final stage?
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted November 25, 2005 Yes. Why do you ask? Have you seen a mistake or inaccuracy?
Harmed 0 Posted November 25, 2005 Jaguar, you make the best textures! wish you could learn me the tricks to make such brilliant textures

mr reality 0 Posted November 26, 2005 The only differnance i can see very clearly is the front, but i'm certainly no expert when it comes to differant varients. On a personal note however i would prefer the barrel to be coloured like it is in the real picture, mostly sand coloured. Thats just my preferance however and you may disregard it at your will
adumb 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Looking good Jaguar
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Actually that is (I beleive, judging by the sideskirts in the full picture of that tank) the Challenger 2E, the export version of the Challenger 2, the clue here is the Desertised part of the name. This includes a number of additions, such as fabric 'skirts' along the underside of the Chobham bolt-on armour. The Challenger 2 you showed has the standard armour package. This is the Up-armoured Desertised Challenger 2, currently in Iraq. Mr Reality, there are a lot of paint scheme variations between tanks in Iraq, black barrels, yellow barrels, black mudguards, yellow mudguards. It seems to be down to how much they wanted to paint. I can't do every single variation to the paint as seen on tanks in Iraq, but there may be a few variations to the one shown in my picture.
