csj 0 Posted January 21, 2005 @Batdog Thanks mate. Some aircraft did have both Aussie and US on them but in this case it is a bug. Thanks will check it out. ------ I can't find the bird you mentioned. Maybe its because I have altered files to yours, though the only Medevac I have been working with is the Jungle Penetrator model. If you can get a name on it let me know.
BeErZyMoTiC 0 Posted January 25, 2005 Quote[/b] ]Either of those posi's in top 2 pics would be cool animations.Agreed, much better then the one currently used. The_Captain 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Is there any hope of Navy Seawolf chopper textures in the next release? They used the UH1-B with the M6/7 rocket arrangement (in the early war, at least). Big white NAVY lettering on the tail, and a dark blue/grey color scheme... If we had that, then we would have all we needed for Nam SEAL missions.. ;) If you are interested, or need reference photos or help, I have both in spades ~The Captain

sneakysix 0 Posted February 16, 2005 Great Humming sound m8,, Sounds great when you inside and when your awaiting extraction. A point brought up earlier is the sad amount of spam rubbish on these forums. So many noobs who have flown one or know someone who has, my dads bigger than yours, armchair critics who surf the net to try and make a creditable comment on the addon ,for a false recognition of inteligence shown. WHY? LEAVE IT OUT, IMO the only people who should have an average of 2 posts per day since 2002 are moderators. Who seem to have let the forums slip into pages of rubbish. This is certainly my last time im using these forums for information as its ruled by nerdy kiddie know it alls, who have no real imagionation of their own with addons. They gun for total realistic addons and dont appreciate the work, effort, skill and playability of the creation. GET A LIFE!! Ban me, dont care, flame em, go on, no matter I aint gonna reply. Theres so many ppl ive spoken to who are almost affriad to write a comment on their appreciation of an addon incase their opinion is laughed at by the spambots. Sad state of affairs.. Great Work on the Hueys mate, impressive sounds and very playable. GJ
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted February 16, 2005 @sneakysix; Please give me reason why you post all that crap in this topic? It has nothing to do with this addon and almost every post in this topic (and most others) it to show support for the addon or to post something directly related to it. The_Captain 0 Posted March 20, 2005 Hi, I've found some great archives of seawolf photos at: http://www.seawolf.org/ (Pictures, then detachments (lots in there)) and http://www.seawolf-hal3.org/gallery/ There are a few different types of color schemes in there, and some of the photos are a bit washed out. Nonetheless, most of these guys look to be converted army UH1 B's with flex guns and 7 rocket pods, and for later in the war, craploads of miniguns and toys. It looks like some seawolf choppers have the normal OD scheme with NAVY in black letters instead of the normal ARMY. However, the standardized seawolf color scheme seems to be the dark blue on the body with the huge white NAVY on the tail. (Supposedly, tht was to lead enemies to shoot at the tail boom instead of the main body...) Personally, I'd like to see aircraft with the dark blueish color scheme and either flex guns, M6 7; miniguns, M6/7; minigun in the door, rockets. ;) ...Now all we need are some up to date seal models, though Ebud's still stand the test of time and look pretty good... csj 0 Posted March 21, 2005 Thanks The_Captain, I have not seen the second link before this was interesting. Thanks for the interest shown and a minigun Seawolf is coming. Re the colours I am getting good advice re the Seawolfs. Quote[/b] ]Saturday, February 19, 2005We had a few Gray aircraft after 1969 but they were L models and weren’t gunships, although some of them were armed for certain missions. We borrowed our gunships from the Army and when we received them we made a few modifications including repainting them a dark olive drab almost black color and adding the white Navy letters and a white tail number between 300 and 332. There are a few pictures of olive drab aircraft with black Navy letters and different tail numbers. That was in earlier years before the squadron developed the standard used later. Hope this helps. Ed Pietzuch HA(L)-3 1970 As with all my projects I spend time talking to ppl that can give me the best information. The internet is so full of crap, it is hard to weed the good sites from the BullSh!t, specially on the Vietnam conflict. All my 'Nam' military models I have made with the co-operation of people that were there and flew, drove or worked with the machines. They are all work buddies, family or family friends, including the  'Albatross 9 Bushranger, Slicks and DustOff'. The U.S models included are just an offshoot from these so I have had to do some further inquiring re some different details on their machines but the overall basic remain the same. ------ Mi-Fred has made a nice winch script for the DustOffs, so now the stokes litter and jungle penetrator are working. Sanctuary has done some new cargo animations but I cant seem to get them working from cpp. bit of a drama but I will figure it out in a few months  and getting Rallel script going as well, not much luck there. If anyone can help plz let me know.
Bobcatt666 0 Posted March 21, 2005 The relepping setup is easy, but not required cause it will spam up the action menu. Any user can setup it up vie the mission editor, do not be tricked by lazy addon users to do something they can do in like one minute. I can help if needed seeing I geared up a bunch of choppers you also gotta pick the repelling config best for the chopper and won't Bot seldom use it without being forced they rather land the bird. -HC-Para 0 Posted March 21, 2005 Keep the faith mate! You have made so many folks happy in the past, we are all willing to be patient for updates in the future. Personally, I never dreamed of the day when I could fly either a Caribou or a Bushranger in OFP. As aircraft I have seen operate time and time again, this was an absolute pleasure for me. If anyone is interested, here is a great recording of Australian helos in action during 1969: http://www.australiansatwar.gov.au/stories....&id=142 Scud - Thanks to you, Charlie is running from Ned Kelly and his gang once again! The_Captain 0 Posted April 3, 2005 Oh, wow, CSJ! Thanks for the work going into the seawolves! Now I can finally call for seawolf support and tear the crap out of the VC below... If you need scripting help, I'd be happy to take a look at whatever's giving you trouble. Also, re: the B models and cargo capacity... I know the engines on these puppies were weak, and the lift capacity was mainly dependant on weight.. is there a way you could scale the number of cargo troops between 4-8 depending on the armament of the model of B or C huey? That way a mission designer could have a 'slick' version that could pick up a whole team, or a gunship that couldn't pick up very many.. Just a thought ;). As of the last version I think all C models could only carry 4 guys... Offhand I'd say you could get 8 in the slick, 6 or 7 in the lightly armed B models, 4 or 5 in the medium armed ones, and 1-2 in the super heavily armed models. That's all just guessing though. Snypir's support pack had a pretty good rappel aniamtion/script. I don't think it's a problem if you borrow it and give the credit... As to the cargo animations, I'm not sure... Never done that before.
BlackScorpion 0 Posted April 3, 2005 Well, I haven't posted on this thread even though I've had these choppers since release... Excellent job, when I need Huey's, like in Nam missions, these are the absolute must choise. Though, the M134 explosive effect is a bit strange. Otherwise, excellent thingies. These plus SEBNAM AirCav pilots make a true Nam mission. Thanks.
csj 0 Posted April 5, 2005 @BlackScorpion First, thanks for comment on my "thingies", its good to hear I am not the only person using them  The explosive bullets on M134 have gone, except on the Bushranger model with door gunner. I have to use rockets to simulate the fwd guns on this model and I (plus everyone I have spoken to re this) can not find a way to remove the blast effect. @The_Captain One of the main hold ups with Navy birds atm is getting a suitable skin colour. I make one I like then when reproduced in game its blotchy etc.   Will get it sooner or later. scripting help...Always welcome. Any help is welcome. re the cargo capacities, Quote[/b] ]is there a way you could scale the number of cargo troops between 4-8 depending on the armament of the model of B or C huey?Good point. Yep can do.rappelling, I agree with Bobcatt666 about leaving it to mission maker. I have adjusted a good script to suit these birds and did make mention of it and where to get it in an earlier post. cargo animations are done I just cant get 'em working from cpp so flat floor ver's on hold atm. Will post some update pics when I get a chance to play  ------ @Batdog Quote[/b] ]They could be running from the Victorian Bushrangers cricket team   there pretty scaring  Sounds like a lot of Bull to me.. The_Captain 0 Posted April 10, 2005 I have a model of this helicopter, and was going to scan the box the last time I was home for the holidays, but sadly, I forgot. :-/ It does look like it's a really dark OD, almost black. Shame you can't get it right in game without it looking a bit blotchy. :-/ Perhaps I can take a look at the chopper cpp to see if I can get it to play the new cargo animations? Also, if there's anything specific scripting wise that you might need help with, just mention it to me and I can take a look at that too. email: thecaptain_ps@hotmail.com For the bushranger forward guns, you *could* spawn bullets out of the muzzle every time you fire a dummy weapon, but, since it's a minigun, that might lag a bit
