Operation Farmland Mod

The main objective is the creation of a realistic island but with suitable environment for horror missions smile_o.gif

Farmland is releasing the Alpha of Bat addon. It contains several bugs, but this way we might get some help for final version.

Bat can be found in the editor under Civilian | Horror Animals.

Vampire-Bat can be found in the editor under East | Horror Animals.

SEAGULL FUNCTION (ONLY FOR ADVANCED OFP USERS):

There is the possibility of replace the seagull by the bat. Of course it's better to use a mod

folder:)

Pick the batvertexanim.p3d, rename it as RacekT and replace the original RacekT by this new one in

Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Res\Dta\Hwtl\Data3D.pbo folder or in the mod folder you have created.

To get a full realistic bat

you must replace the seagulls sounds as well. So go to Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Res\Dta

unpbo the sound.pbo and replace the seagull sounds (Sound\Animals\gulls1 - 5.wss) by more

suitable bat sounds that you can found in this addon. This process can be used as well in the mod folder.

VAPIRE USAGE:

Create a trigger and...

gblAllBatTargets =[Targetname]

KNOWN BUGS:

Vampires and bats leave footprints behind;

Vampires begin attack far away from the selected target;

vampires are able to attack any vehicle;

After killing his victims the vampires keep making the attack move for a while;

After being killed, the vampire keeps moving in the ground.

Looking on the positive side though, it really does show that there's no limit to what can be achieved with scripting and clever use of o2.

For those of you who wish to study the bat, note how the LandContact vertices are used.  They keep the bat "in the air" so to speak. If you put the Landcontact vertices on the bat's body itself, it would plummet into the ground.

So, that's how you guys can create a CacoDemon for Doom 3 mod... HINT HINT

PS:

If any of you can fix the scripts so the bat doesn't judder, I would appreciate it. Give it your best shot!

Is everything backward compatible, so if you release updates it doesn't mess up missions? smile_o.gif

yea, the mission.sqm is only 2kb, but where is the other 1,89mb.... rock.gif

It's sweet... using PC's embassy and SAS units, I've half baked (i.e. no briefings or intros/outros) a Ultraviolet mission!

I'll polish it up and make ready for release in 2 or 3 weeks time..
