sander 14 Posted September 2, 2004 Hi, The colours are consciously faded and desaturated somewhat to get the look of old worn fatigues of the oude hap rather than the bright radiant colours of the factory fresh uniforms of fillers. A campaign is planned, but that is a long term project as it requires various other projects to be finished first. Various options for scenario's are currently considered. Headgear and level of protection for all sorts of troops depends on the situation. Commandoes, like other troops, will wear body armour, helmets and berets when deployed to show the flag, and other gear in other situations. Not all operations require the same posture. Regards, Sander
the_shadow 0 Posted September 2, 2004 when can we expect a fixed version of the Leo2?
tankieboy 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Yes indeed, a Lynx would be very nice. We will reskin it as soon as you have made the model. Regards, Sander Damb, I was going to say the same thing.

Supah 0 Posted September 4, 2004 I'd like to know what helicopters the Dutch armed forces use.I don't know why but i love to insert (no jokes about inserting things please  )my soldiers in by helo,it makes for some kick ass scenes... CH-47, Super Puma, Bo-105 (might have been retired) and the AH-64D and the AB-412SP for SAR. Edit: and the lynx offcourse but they are exclusively used by the navy
Badassdom 0 Posted September 4, 2004 isn't it a cougar instead of a super puma
Supah 0 Posted September 4, 2004 isn't it a cougar instead of a super puma  Cougar ... super puma .... I think that you can safely say that they look allot like each other and that you pbb wouldn't have to do too much remodelling to make it into a cougar
JdB 151 Posted September 4, 2004 Bo-105 (might have been retired) The Bo-105 ''Bolkow'' is going to be retired. Link (in Dutch) for Supah Also shown left on that page are the other helicopters used by the Dutch Airforce.

Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted September 6, 2004 no, I'm sorry. The Wolf jeep is the closest to Dutch transport (only the arkings are wrong).
Matthijs 40 Posted September 6, 2004 Wolf has not yet been released, as we are not satisfied with the LODs (like the current Leopard). For now, you can use the following substitutes: - BIS Chinook - BIS M113 - BWmod Mecedes Wolf for army units - DKM XA-188 Patria - Tales of War LSD (as substitute for L800 Hr.Ms. Rotterdam) - Land Rover 110GS by DeLiltMon, for marines - G8 M113 pack as a substitute for the YPR - Swissmod M109 - MMP Unimog for marines
-Ash- 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Lynx is still under construction. Expect some updated screenshots soon Sorry for hijacking btw
wolfbane 0 Posted September 7, 2004 Great work guys but.. (there´s always a but isn´t it.. hehe ) It would be nice if you could fix your AT4 if you want it as realistic as you say it should be. It´s a disposable weapon irl that comes with only 1 round, ie you fire and throw the tube away but yours is reloadable and comes with 3 rounds.  I would really like to see an update of the sound of the AT4 too since as it is now it´s not even close to be called realistic (as you say it should be on your homepage..). Check out this video from Saab Bofors Dynamics and listen to the sound of the AT4 HEAT (00:25 in the vid) when it´s fired to get an idea of how it should be. But do remember that it doesn´t sound very impressive on a video since the sound tend to get quite muffled. But atleast you hear it´s not a *whooosh* type of sound when it´s fired ala Quake III rocketlauncher or whatnot (Hollywood movie maybe..) but a very loud (100 dB irl atleast) bang more like a cannon..  Anyways, keep up the good work!
Placebo 29 Posted September 7, 2004 arkengel do not hotlink images over 100kb please, it's been a rule of these forums for a long, long time now
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted September 7, 2004 Wolf has not yet been released, as we are not satisfied with the LODs (like the current Leopard). I meant the wolf released by BW-mod and the version released by Operation Northstar. It's the only transport vehicle close to the Dutch vehicle. Only the numberplate is wrong (and some markings). mr reality 0 Posted September 9, 2004 I would like to start by saying your units are awsome. But i have two questions for anybody reading. 1) Could it be possible to have the "Helmet off" script set to "careless" instead of "safe" 2)Also could it be a possibility to have the "Camo" script to be set from "Stealth" instead of "Combat" Just a suggestion.Maybe others feel the same way as i like to have my troops patroling with helmets on when in safe mode. There very unique scipts by the way, good work by whoever created them...
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted September 9, 2004 In safe mode they have their weapons on the back. With your weapon on the back there is also no need for a helmet. There are rules for this you know. It's not like it's a soldiers choise. The best example is that the summer-uniform regulations state that you have to roll up your sleeves (Dutch marines have to do this). I first thought that they were just all trying to look bad-ass, but than I asked about it and found out that it's regulations. This particular rule does not apply to a combat situation like iraq, btw. second; I think the cammo should be activated by both. And absolutely not left out in combat-mode. In combat-mode you also need cammo. So changing the script would actually be unrealistic.
mr reality 0 Posted September 10, 2004 I like your answer for the second question Cpt. FrostBite so i'll go along with you.But i'm using "Wilco's" animation mod so my soldiers in "safe" mode have there weapons in there hands.I suppose you know what your talking about seeing as your Dutch .... There very unique scipts by the way, good work by whoever created them... Yes, it is possible, quite simply by defining two variables in your mission. From the readme.txt <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">Array KMM_FACECAMOSTATES  Default value: void  When defined, this array will influence behaviour regarding facial camouflage.  Valid elements for this array are: ["CARELESS","SAFE","AWARE",STEALTH,"COMBAT"]  Upon a change in the current behavioural state of AI units, KMM_FACECAMOSTATES will be  checked, to see if the new state is in the elements of this array. If so, AI units will  apply facial camouflage.  When not defined, behaviour defaults as if ["COMBAT","STEALTH"] EXAMPLE:  If you want the AI to apply facial camouflage for states "AWARE", "COMBAT", and "STEALTH",  put the following line in your INIT script:  KMM_FACECAMOSTATES = ["AWARE","COMBAT","STEALTH"] Array KMM_HELMETSTATES  Default value: void  When defined, this array will influence behaviour regarding facial camouflage.  Valid elements for this array are: ["CARELESS","SAFE","AWARE",STEALTH,"COMBAT"]  Upon a change in the current behavioural state of AI units, KMM_HELMETSTATES will be  checked, to see if the new state is in the elements of this array. If so, AI units will put  on their helmets. If not, helmets will be taken off.  When not defined, behaviour defaults as if ["AWARE","COMBAT","STEALTH"] EXAMPLE:  If you want the AI to put on helmets only for states  "AWARE" and "COMBAT", put the  following line in your INIT script:  KMM_HELMETSTATES = ["AWARE","COMBAT"] So in your case, put this in some INIT line, script or whatever: KMM_HELMETSTATES = ["CARELESS"]; KMM_FACECAMOSTATES = ["STEALTH"] But of course you already knew that, as you checked out the readme.txt ages ago!
