Wilco 944 Posted August 7, 2004 Hey guys, small project I'm working on at the moment. Hopefully some new textures for it also, mostly bullet riddle/burnt possibly. Well that's pretty much all I have to say, comments and critics welcomed.
Landwarrior87 0 Posted August 8, 2004 looks good... tho i hate to see a destroyed Humvee will make good to see in missions.
commando9903 0 Posted August 8, 2004 nice, will go well in missions alongside fischkops new hummers
Bobcatt666 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Well for first starting it is ok, but I done a few destroyed ones if you need referance. Over all the model is cool but The gun ring is off the open armed version and has the turtle back from one that was equiped with a four door kit. For this wreck, I would put the hard top back on or lay that on the ground upside down or leaning against the body, leave the doors on in open postions or hanging off the hinges. Riddle it with bullet marks in the textures. Darken the headlights to simulate having been shot out. Break the antenna. Put the rear tire back on Humvees seldom cough more than one tire if they get removed. But leave it tucked up under the rear fender simulate a broken ball joint. Maybe bust the hood over the area in front where the tire is missing, the whole hood is fiberglass/kevlar and comnly will break of in chunks. I made custom parts for the wrecks I made, I had to demil a number of them and M151s or used old humves as soft targets after pulling the engines and running gear out of them.. And repair them after they been in accidents.
Wilco 944 Posted August 8, 2004 Update: Began using Fischkops HMMV's, hopefully he will be kind enough and let me release them with proper credit. I want to add M16 magazines about and possible shell casings, any ideas?
Bobcatt666 0 Posted August 8, 2004 For started the M2HBA@ is heavy on the operators end and usualy will point up if not locked down with the bar or T & E.
Wilco 944 Posted August 8, 2004 Your right, I was thinking about that, I'll probobaly end up changing it.
blackdog~ 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Looks nice. But instead of HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle) it should be just V for vehicle :P
Speeeedy 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Great work. Looks real nice and could be very well used in a mission. Only thing is that the textures look (to) clean if an vehicle is damaged by such an violence
FischKopp 0 Posted August 8, 2004 @wilco: sure ... do that, as long iám in the credits ... looking really good.
MontyVCB 0 Posted August 8, 2004 be good if u can make dammaged hummers and still be able to use the weapons
Bobcatt666 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Well drawback is the AI will not board a damaged vehicle, so the props have to set as a fully armed and working unit, then of course you;ll have AI trying to drive wrecks around like the SEB's dunebuggies. If you ever ran the race course there is a wrecked buggy in back of the staging area that is driveable ;) Have to be done as a static gun platform and given a gunners proxie, which is no biggie but them of course it gets even further destroyed which kinda defeats the porpose for making such an addon.. Getting the AI to stay in the unit is the bigger problem..
Nathanz 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Looking good Just make sure their aren’t any warped textures, unless you are rebuilding the whole model?

Wilco 944 Posted August 8, 2004 Looking good Just make sure their aren’t any warped textures, unless you are rebuilding the whole model? Trying to keep that to a minimum right now, nothing to akward looking, I know nothing about modelling right now, only working off of the model and it's movable parts, I could use some help with creating some damaged parts if anyone wants to help out? BoweryBaker 0 Posted August 8, 2004 I'd like to see bullet casings around the hummer to indicate some sort of firefight, perhaps in a hummer that died in an ambush, then you might have a hummer that died from a missile, etc. Then as you drive further you'll end up meeting the enemy and if you saw how the first hummer was destroyed from the clues you may know what to bring with you to destroy the enemy ahead. Wilco 944 Posted August 8, 2004 Some new screens for you guys: I could use maybe a modeler to help me get some destroyed parts that don't look warped, and maybe an extra texturer to work with me in getting the textures ready for these.
belgerot 33 Posted August 9, 2004 Looking great so far, a very useful idea!
Wilco 944 Posted August 9, 2004 Like I said before I could use a modeler and an extra texturer, and maybe someone to make me a config. This pack will probobaly end up needing Fischkopp's pack because I don't feel like re-applying all of the textures.
oyman 0 Posted August 9, 2004 why do you need a config person it looks like you got it all under control, of course i could be wrong anyway good job
Wilco 944 Posted August 9, 2004 I've been replacing the model name in the config, I just have one selection in the editor when I actually have about four models.
oyman 0 Posted August 9, 2004 o never mind about the under control thing then
Wilco 944 Posted August 9, 2004 Right now the config is getting handled by a good friend NZXSHADOWS, so I just need a modeler and an extra texturer.
