Glow Sticks?

Recommended Posts

Hi, does anyone know if there are glow stick add ons? I would have thought they would because its just like a long lasting flare thrown as a grenade. Thanks.

Excellent idea. It would be neat for effect if not really practical in game.

That should be possible. Make a basic stick model then add (with the power of scripts) a light to the stick after it has been thrown smile_o.gif

Ha glow sticks. I have some here at the house. Would be super easy to model. Can make em green and Shiny. That and give it some scripting to act like a light. Would be kinda cool.

I dunno, But if anyone wants to do em, I can probably help. Atleast one way or another. I have handfull of chemlights in various colors.

I've had thoughts of making moltov cocktails to.

I made one.

Hmm.. Maybe it's a lil big?  rock.gif

Edit:

Ok fixed the size.

Now all I need is a green "glow" and a config that lets you throw it.

yeah, well I don't have any config for it being a hand grenade, nor do I have a green "glow".

So it's halted until I can get those smile_o.gif

Can they be made to function as a infrared target beacon? The IR ones can be used like that. In the HUD radar screen they could be a "laser target" or something.

OK I managed to attach one of the AGS configs to it, so you can now "light fire", and it's green.

Anyone know how to make it a grenade?

ZigStick.jpg

Btw, how big should the radius be?

OK I toned it down.

How's this?

It's a static object at the moment.. Does anyone know how to make it a grenade?

But if I get no answer, I'll release it as it is, I guess.

Better than nothing.

I'm not sure how you would do this, but you could maybe make a grenade, that camcreates the chem lite where it hits the ground. It wouldn't light up in the air or anything though.

Yep, I was thinking that.

So.. Anyone have a tut/ "template" that I can use to make a grenade that has no explosion, but I can change it's model?

MrZig, could you please send me that (as is). I have a config ready to go but need the rest (p3d/texs).

I may or may not be successful tounge_o.gif

I think the amount of glow is right on the money. Good work dude. Can you check out my thread HERE and see what you think?

Monty

EDIT: That thread I put the link for might be what arcangel is confusing with a chem light.

Actually, C4P741N has his own config I guess, so he'll be doing the glow.

I just send him the model and textures (20 second job lol)
