how do i get it out of the pbo? and on wrp edit?

for wrpedit to read the pbo it simply needs to be in your ofp addons folder.  Can i recomend that if you are getting into island editing that you use Wrptool instead. This is so much better than wrpedit and it comes with a excellent tutorial.

For unpacking pbo's use this: PBO Decryptor 1.5 by Amalfi (9th one down)

If you are using wrpedit you will not need to dpo the files. simply make sure they are in your OFP addons folder and wrp edit will read them. when you are using wrpedit double left click on the island surface and you will bring up the insert new object box.

From there single left click on the browse button and look for a folder called Baracken (this is the mapfact folder). open it up and browse for the building you would like to place ie green_baracken01.p3d.

Press ok. this will now take you back to the insert new object box. before you press ok in the new object box you will need to remove the first forward slash in the name. looks like this: \Baracken\Green_Baracke01.p3d. should look like: Baracken\Green_Baracke01.p3d. if you dont remove the forward slash it wont show up ingame.

you will have to do this each time you import new objects into wrpedit.

Di you remove the forward slash at the begining. What building did you use ie: green_baracken01.

Also when you browse the contents of the pbo's via wrpedit  not only dose it shows you the p3d objects that you can load into wrpedit but also anything else that is in the pbo i.e config bins and texture files etc. it could be that you have tried to import something that is not a p3d file.
