First things first, thanks for the information yesterday on the questions. I have a big complaint though. I barely have any words to explain how angry I was yesterday when I tested out some new addons for a Black Hawk Down mission I want to make. The immersion factor was totally smashed and also it seemed a bit of a racial thing when my African militia RPG 7 soldier had WATERMELONS substituted for rockets!!!! What in the heck is this all about? I've looked all over for a more serious addon but havent seemed to find one. Any info on where I can get a good Militia addon would be appreciated. That was totally uncalled for.

i suppose it could be an honost stupid mistake, something the maker didnt understand was racist, but i doubt it.

Umm, I'm aware of that, but changing all Resistance rockets to watermelons doesn't necessarily mean that they were trying to make a racist joke. If he changed all Resistance RPGs to watermelon launchers, he'd be changing a lot of completely non-African related RPG soldiers to watermelloners. I'm unaware of any Finnish or Russian watermelon jokes, do you know any?

That wasn't the proof I wanted. I wanted a link to the "racist" addon.

Edit - Keep in mind that Pappy's config only replaces default BIS units, and it doesn't use Tonal (Or any other African pack). The only people toting watermelons with this config are white guys, as I've never seen a black Resistance or East soldier.

Personally I don't see any thing racist about the addon. I think your just digging to deep.

You know racism still and always will exist, but at least its not in vogue any more like the 50s. Times have changed, It drives me nuts how many people claim that racism is a factor in their day to day lives. I've had black friends growing up and they even complained about it saying that they had never met a racist or been harrased for their skin color.

A black friend I had even hated Chris Rock and Jesse Jackson. He said those two do more to keep racism alive than the Ku Klux Clan. He said when the Klan talks every one laughs at them and their ingnorance but when Chris Rock and Jesse talk every one becomes convinced there is a massive epidemic of racism tearing the nation apart and that white people and black people don't get along and never will. He said Chris Rocks humour is valueless and only fosters distrust and hate between blacks and whites. Personally I agree with him.

Drow basically I'm just saying chill out. Believe it or not The vast majority of people are not racist. Watermellons are just funny fruit (or is it a vegtable?), not a religous icon of the Ku Klux Klan.

well i meant that about kids who werent ever subject to anything remotely resembling racism, who probably never knew a black person growing up, and lived in all white communities far far away from the inner city problems...

Racism is real, I have been friends with many black people in my time, and its real for them... every day.
