Problems with decrypting data3d.pbo + odolexplorer

Recommended Posts

Hello I am experiencing some problems with the DATA3D.PBO

I want to insert Inquisitor's NVgoggles addon into the Data3D.PBO, (this among other things, but this is just an example) but whenever I decrypt the PBO it corrupts the

9K32_Strela_proxy.p3d

file. And when I rebuild the file if a unit uses the Strela weapon, it CTDs the game.

Is there any way to safely extract this particular file out of the PBO without corrupting it? Or even better, does anyone have the working p3d on hand?

Thanks for your help!!

Also another thing

I have recently exported the angelina.p3d out of the game using ODLOD exporter (thanks to WRPTool team for this excellent tool!!!) I have removed the silly hat, changed the proxies to include handguns and night vision. And also created numerous various on this model eg. Boonie hat models etc. - All of this I plan to retexture and release a not only a fully functional female pack (no pointless vixen addons here) with female radio voices which adds new female identities for use. (which will bridge the gap for female players) (which should be ready August-October).

Trouble is, I've set the mass in the geolod but they're STILL able to walk right through one another ie, but still can get obstructed by other objects in the game (although they can simply run slowly through it given enough time).

What do I have to do to this model to make the thing COMPLETELY solid?

Thanks again for your help guys.

Kind Regards,

Jeremy

For the angelina problem:

Go into geometry Lod, select all (CTRL-A), go into vertex options and make "Merge Near...", leave the settings and press OK.

Thanks for the tip. biggrin_o.gif

- Hmmm this still doesn't work. They still can walk right through each other in game. Is anything else I should try?

So I select all the points in the Geolod and "merge near" correct?

The "merge near" default settings are 0.0001 or something like that. I don't have to "Detect" the settings or do I? Even if I do it still gives me a non-solid player.

Hmmm anyway thanks for your help Vector.

Hmm, I used this method for some models and it did work. I didn't try it for soldiers/human models though. Well, as I saw, they should've the same Geo-LOD like the demo models, so basically take a demo-model and copy&paste their Geo-LOD into Angelina's.
