scfan42 0 Posted March 22, 2004 I'd also modify the safe anim so the gun is pointed more towards the ground. IMHO it looks kinda dorky at current.
Gollum1 0 Posted March 22, 2004 I'd also modify the safe anim so the gun is pointed more towards the ground. IMHO it looks kinda dorky at current. Well, not dorky, but too edgy and aware. It also looks like the soldier is stuck in the middle of a step, not standing.
Spy17 1 Posted March 28, 2004 New anims for movement with pistol or unarmed would be verry nice! They would not only look better but they would have a major impact on gameplay as well! (alone all these escape or police missions where you do not carry a rifle) You should be able to move at least as fast as with a rifle! BTW your new standing anim makes it easyer to hit without iron sights! (crosshairs off) Â Â Â =>nice!!!
Gollum1 0 Posted March 28, 2004 Anims don't affect movement speed at all AFAIK, and even if they did, that would be a cheat both in MP and SP.
Spy17 1 Posted March 28, 2004 It just does not make sense that you can only walk uphill without rifle, run slower can not kneel, can not run sideways... That has nothing to do with cheating! Of course everyone in MP had to use the same Anims! You could be right thoug that it is not possible to change that in OFP1. I just hope someone can
ZiRo 0 Posted March 30, 2004 i absolutly LOVE these Some suggestions/critisims: -Walking diagonal/side/back safe anims needed -Walking with gun up close anims needed -Change stance anims would be nice, to get fluent animation -Reload anims needed other than that its bloody amazing and if you got those into it before i distribute my project - im using them in it. -ZiRo
Wilco 944 Posted March 30, 2004 Progress, well I have changed the crouch animation, but it is only a experimental one so far. I have been busy, but I have a three day weekend ahead of me

Milkman 1 Posted March 31, 2004 Will you work on the crouching pistol animations? I thought the default ones were pretty odd looking.
Raj 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Nice work with those animations.. by the way wilco what is the animation name of the running, walking, safe running animation. i will just replace those with the previous ones.
Bald_Maggot 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Ok, These animations are a really great idea Wilco! Â they really do change the game for the better and in some instances make it feel like a completely different game! Well Done Ive been looking back over the past comments and have a few pointers of my own If you please......(Clears throat) Personally i find that there is nothing wrong with the 'Safe' anims that you have included in the pack, i think they are great and really add realism to the game Now im aware that there are a few peeps that are trying to sway you into changing this anim (and thats cool!) simply because it did not look safe enough but I strongly urge you to not! The simple fact remains that 90% of the time in Flashpoint you are in the middle of a rather large battle or near to one, Â I feel that this animation 'bridges the gap' between the ready to fire anim and the safe animation that we have already and i feel that this rest position is more realistic than any other. Â When troops are in uniform, all kitted up and with a weapon, my profesional instincts tell me that this soldier should be ready for anything so to speak, combat or no combat. What would be REALLY cool would be to have say three combat stances (dunno if this is possible, probably not!) so therefore everyone will be happy! I jus think that the safe anim (yours) can be used to a give a better effect of enemy troops patrolling a cirtain sector, compared to the original where they just look silly in a combat situation. I hope that this has come across well and you can consider my suggestion as i think that it makes a lot of sense! Anyway you will be hearing more from me about this anim pack as i think that it is quality stuff! Good Job Wilco All the Best

I think its a good animation but put in the wrong place. The current safe animation from wilco seems more appropriate for as a stand animation for a soldier whose behaviour is set to aware or something. The one in the pack currently has the soldiers right shoulder in what looks like an awkward position. What should also be done (if possible) is to have a seperate animation for a soldier whose behaviour is set to careless (gun slung over shoulder or whatever). I dunno if its possible but it would be cool.
calm_terror 0 Posted April 1, 2004 one thing that needs to be done is made an animation for movign between safe and read status. right now it is defualt and looks umm weird.
Wilco 944 Posted April 2, 2004 Update: Three day weekend is probobaly going to consist of: Friday: Far Cry Saturday: Far Cry Sunday: Far Cry @Calm:  I plan to make one with the soldier raising his weapon to fire, from the safe animation to the firing animation.  But right now I'm dying in Far Cry

Silent_Zero 0 Posted April 8, 2004 If anyone wanted to know the resistance animations as in the pistol animations and such is in the O.PBO
Wilco 944 Posted April 8, 2004 We know, but right now it's impossible to do the pistol animations.
Wilco 944 Posted April 9, 2004 I also want to add one thing, the safewalk animation is Rouge1's older version reworked to mine, so when you say it's mine, I own only 50% of it Sorry about that Rouge
lpdotcom 0 Posted April 10, 2004 I love the new stances you've made, especially the safe, but the clipping for reloading and side-stepping needs to be fixed to make this great. Oh and by the way can you fix the sprint anim cos it just looks silly. The legs go up and down but the head stays still.
Nathanz 0 Posted April 10, 2004 We know, but right now it's impossible to do the pistol animations. Making new pistol animations is possable but moving the pistol model isnt ... untill OFPAnim updates
