Updated anim.pbo replacement pack

Right there, just download this and replace it with the old one, easy as that, hope you guys like.  I did this for people who have not checked on the other topic about this, so that they can get the updated one from here.

Thanks for the update Wilco.

Here's some suggestions for the new one:

- I like the new combat standing anim, but the sight still needs to be closer to the eye... wink_o.gif

- Standing rest anim is good, and the running safe anim.

- Need that prone anim, and more realistic crouch anim. The crouch anim also doesn't work in conjunction with the crouching reload anim, some "snapping" to other anims present there.

- Sprint anim still looks too...funny. I don't know if you can do anything about it, but it looks terrible when the rifle hovers still in the air and the soldier shakes like hell "around" it while running crazy_o.gif Still needs to be tweaked, IMO. Also, when standing up from crouch to run (not sprint) the sprint anim plays for a little bit so the rifle snaps back and forth.

- Running anim looks a bit twitchy, I wonder if that's best left unchanged.

- Safe needs to be more safe, as I mentioned in the other thread.

Sorry to be nitpicking. wink_o.gifbiggrin_o.gif Keep up the good work.

EDIT: A new reloading anim would be kickass, right now it snaps back to the BIS bent-knees anim for reloading.

could you change the deafult lying position somthing like dreamy nights would be nice:

For the "weapon on back" anim, it'd be nice with the weapon hanging over the belly pointing kinda at the left foot you know, and the hands just easily touching the weapon. It's hanging in the rope thingy anyway so he doesn't need to hold it up.

Was that to me? I didn't say anything about the sprint anim, and I couldn't possibly tell the difference anyway since I as I said didn't try it yet.

And strap would be a better word. As it is now, he holds the weapon with both hands, it's not really suited as a "safe" anim. I'm thinking something like this, the guy on the right. But aiming the other way, this guy seems to be left-handed.

And are you planning a new pistol animation? Especially the one for crouching with a pistol is in bad need of replacement.

@Sniperuk02: Since all weapons are held in the same position, you always have to compromise, so if you make it so that the scope isn't too high up/goes through the head, it will look funny when you hold weapons without scopes.

Ahh, a SLING  wink_o.gif  I could do it, but it wouldnt look right.

Right now OFP Anim doesn't support the pistol animations, but I have something that probobaly does.

Yeah, I just keep same zip name so Wilco doesn't have to constantly edit the first post smile_o.gif. Want I should start doing Animv1.zip, Animv2.zip, etc?

little offtopic, but what units are those? Great anims by the way.

Those are the HYK U.S Infantry, there is a thread here in A&M:C and you can find the newest version on ofp.info, 1.02.

The safe anim should be like iNeo said, the guy on the right. Like Hunter's safe anim. smile_o.gif The "fast walking" safe anim should be like it is, while the slow walk should be adjusted to fit that Hunter-like anim, if you change it.

The sprinting anim is a step in the right direction, but it seems like the head and rifle are immobile, it still seems like the body is vibrating around these parts and it just looks wrong, sorry. crazy_o.gif It could still use some tweaking.

And that Dreamy knight anim is exactly how the prone anim should be, as was demonstrated on page 1. smile_o.gif
