freddern 0 Posted February 22, 2004 i these teories where true then wouldn't that conclude in tons of copyrights, law and bla bla bla......?
Peanut 0 Posted February 22, 2004 okay I tried ftp.flashpoint2004.com which still works. All you find there are .pdf-files which belong to the server provider I think, so nothing really fancy ---- To the propable BAS-BIS joint. Even if they are working together, there would be contracts. Even if they want to say something about this issue they can't. ---- The pics that were on the website look really great. Can't wait to play with these units. lee_h._oswald 0 Posted February 22, 2004 It makes sense Lee but they said 3 theaters they would have worked on all that stuff they just cant swicth this big ? This might shift their deadlines real back. Plus modern stuff is already made for OFP1 its the engine limitations that were keeping them back , this isnt looking good if BIS have played the lets post addons to OFP2 with new engine and call it OFP2   I would say it pushes the deadline forward. Taking all the released/non released BAS stuff, update it to the ofp2 engine, plus the things BIS made allready for ofp2, some tweaks here and there and you have a extremly good base for a modern game. Look at the BAS blackhawk. Ok, it has no second gunner position(game limitation), but it´s the best blackhawk ever seen in any computer game. Same with other stuff. Many times we have heard that ofp1 addons "will" work in ofp2, so it shoul be "easy" to port the bas stuff into ofp2. MfG Lee
freddern 0 Posted February 22, 2004 And now, deadmeat, what do you have to say now??  Nothing much really... Looks like BIS will get some more of my hard earned ÅÅÅ Â Whats this suppose to mean  A YES ? He knows something. If he didn't know anything he would have said something else... I know it...

d034rk 0 Posted February 22, 2004 It looks somewhat like a mash of Independence Lost, BAS addons, VBS and OFP1.
jelly belly 0 Posted February 22, 2004 i,d buy that...maybe...probably.

MfG Lee Yes i agree but i was talking in terms of engine fine tuning if a 70s game was made there would have been things distinct for it now that theyve made a modern scenario (which is clever IMO no game is doing this atm so OFP might be a hit among the CS/GR crowd too ouch ) they would change some stuff for it. I wonder if BAS gave the utlimate sacrifice or giving up everything they made for OFP2 if thats really OFP2 and not another expansion.... So is only BAS stuff used or others too like RHS and so on? jelly belly 0 Posted February 22, 2004 i swear, this goes deeper than OFP2
quicksand 0 Posted February 22, 2004 After almost 2 years of stalemate BIS is ready to shock the world again.Get ready to be thrown in the most immersive and realistic game ever yet.Playing as a spec op you will get the chance to fight terrorism in a campaign that will span from the hot jungles of [..] to the freezing ices of [..].This latest BIS release also adresses the most major multiplayer issue that OF ever had. That`s right soldier, get ready for JIP! I know I`m not helping but that`s what poped into my mind, it`s gonna be OF 1.5,which satisfies me more then enough because of JIP.Add the ability to walk on moving objects and it will al be perfect.. BTW I couldn`t figure out what soldiers are this?
Acecombat 0 Posted February 22, 2004 These guys seem to have that old OFP1 spetznatz texture on them but more shiny
HOBOMAN 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Ok maybe BAS was just a fake addons studio all along and is really just the devolpers at BIS.
jelly belly 0 Posted February 22, 2004 lol, nice theory, would explain the excellent scripting etc.

Acecombat 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Doesnt that guy with grey hair look like a short stout back of Col Blake from OFP ?
HOBOMAN 0 Posted February 22, 2004 and BAS has done nothing for a while. Some of their old CH47s, ah1's and huey's and very similiar the vsb and opf2 ones.
Acecombat 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Yeah wonder who that good MOD was who took BIS's model for AH-1's?
MSpencer 0 Posted February 22, 2004 It seems like only the people with less than 50 posts come up with these ideas that BAS is a team of aliens sent to wreak havoc upon the earth.

Peanut 0 Posted February 22, 2004 Seeing the palm-trees in the background my guess would be South-american rebel troops, or something like that.

quicksand 0 Posted February 22, 2004 I don`t like the direction of this thread. Please stop spamming. We,the blinded public are finally on to something we wouldn`t want this thread closed by the moderators. Conspiracy theories are fine until BIS will shed some light but saying BAS were BIS members from the beginning is waay far fetched.
