Public has nothing to do with it. It was just couple whining kids, who have nothing more to do in their live. To bad he just not ignores it. He made best choppers for OFP.

IMO, if someone leaves like that...

They had other issues going on as well that led to the decision or they were just looking for a reason to leave.

There were stupid comments yes no doubt, but nothing that any other mod groups havent been subjected to, gotten over and forgotten about.
