IMO Far Cry is great, its like Half Life 2 before Half Life 2, the amount of modding and editing that can be done to the game is on a par with OFP.

Join Operations made me laugh all the way to the remove programs list.

Any more bad comments on Soldner and it may not even make it onto my HD

I would say Söldner is closer to OFP than it is to BF or CS. The feeling when you move around is pretty much like in OFP and you see your own body in first person view just like in OFP. Same type of iron sights like in OFP too.

I haven’t tied many of the vehicles yet, only a couple of cars and vehicle physics still need alot of work (but vehicle physics isn’t OFPs strong side either). I must say I’m a bit disappointed but I’m going to give the game a chance, remember it’s just a beta.

BTW, If you cant get in to a server you can always start your own dedicated server (run Server.bat) and then join through LAN.

if you start a lan server you can play without anyone just to see the graphics and get a feel for the gameplay.

This I like:

-Soldier customization

-Emotes

-Building destrution

What I don't like:

-vehicle control

-vehicle models

-Multiplayer hook up

-Engine renduring

Over all I would rate this game as great for an early beta version but if they release this game without vastly improveing the game I would have to say it will totally bomb. Also haveing gay spy and other stupid game review/news sites be the primary hosts for the demo is just cheap, I hope they host their own patches when this game comes out.

I can start the game, but can't get in to multiplayer.

No one can connect to a server.

But I still miss the camo and the things you can do with your

player on Söldner on to OPF.

EDIT: Wish also that building can be destroyed in OPF2

and that the weather options is better on OPF2.

what I did was to open a lan server (windows, start, bla bla) and then moved into multiplayer..worked fine. Just the game sucks!

I did'nt even bother to try it out online. I hosted my own server and just tried out a couple of weapons and vehicles.

Söldner is official uninstalled on my computer, not even the

LAN trick didn't work to me. 5min just to open the LAN server

window, that slowed the computer down extremely.

To open Söldner took 5min extra and It took 15 min to

start playing on the LAN server, which in fact did lost

connection    (Why the hell can it lose connection when it

is on the same computer as the server is on?)

Then I did what Albert said, with the server and all. Was able to connect to my server, but I couldn't move.

After having read what you guys all have to say about this game I think I will stick to MFCTI's and coop maps for a while longer. I wish more people could see that OFP is the only way to go until OFP2 is released
