Believe me, when your recieving thousands of the bastards, it stops being funny. (They all get blocked by the mail server, but it still slows everything down)

Now I'm beginning to appreciate all the spam mail I used to get. At least there was something to read in the subject line. sad_o.gif

Does anyone have the MD5 checksum?

MyDoom Net Worm Scores Hit, Knocks Out SCO Site

Quote[/b] ]Sun Feb 1, 7:32 AM ET

By Bernhard Warner, European Internet Correspondent

LONDON (Reuters) - The MyDoom Internet worm claimed its first scalp Sunday, paralyzing the Web site of American software firm SCO Group with a massive data blitz.

In a statement issued Sunday morning, the Utah-based company confirmed MyDoom knocked its site, http://www.sco.com, out of commission.

And this was with plenty of advanced warning. We are DOOMed! ghostface.gifsad_o.gifghostface.gif

Weird little story, tucked away under `News In Brief' in today's Times. Says Scotland Yard are looking for the author of MyDoom because they believe that he/she were paid to write and disseminate it by a criminal gang. God alone knows why a criminal gang would pay for a global computer virus, can't really see how they benefit. But there you go.

News in Brief

Global hunt for ‘cyber hitman’

SCOTLAND YARD and the FBI have begun a worldwide hunt for a “cyber hitman†believed to be behind the MyDoom computer virus, the fastest-spreading online bug yet discovered. Investigators believe the bug, which emerged last Monday, was planted by someone in a western country hired by a criminal gang. Previous viruses have usually been released by internet saboteurs in Asia and eastern Europe. The virus has infected millions of computers worldwide

I get around 70 of these per day, which is about 1 meg... pretty crappy. Its because i have a couple of homepages, and suddenly my domain name were known as an e-mail server.... anyway, i put a server filter on, which bounces all the known subjetcs, but theres still a couple per day thats coming through.

Latest MyDoom Outbreak Spreading, Deletes Files
