Suicide pill addon?

Before you say to yourself ,what a dumb idea will this be? Figure this:

Youre playing in Mp ,say CTI.You were flying a chopper but somehow you managed to crash it ,yet you survived.But now youre on the ground ,you see that youre in the middle of nowhere ,far from the battlefield ,and there isn't any transport near.

Noobody is going to pick you up ,so you got the choice to either run a few kilometers to the battlefield or base ,very tedious ,or simply to commit suicide so you can spawn at base.

Well then suicide is easy ,well if you got an rpg or grenade ,but thats still likely.However when you kill yourself 1 point of youre score is deducted ,now this might be nitpicking ,but.....

What if you were East ,and you got a suicide pill with you by default.When you come in the situation of having to commit suicide ,you can take it for that purpose.What the advantage of this? Normally nothing ,BUT ,if you could script the pill so that it kills you supposedly as a WEST or RES.With other words ,the pill would be scripted as such that it would kill you as a part of the enemy team wich would mean that the 1 point isn't deducted ,though you still have commited suicide.

Still may be nitpicking ,just to safe that one point of getting lost when you have to commit suicide.but then ,how much work can such a simple script be?Just add the script in the missions like CTI and you don't have to loose points for commiting suicide.

(afcourse ,it might be annoying when youre near the enemy base and by accident take the pill instead of reaching foryoure rpg launcher ,but nothing aint perfect ,i hate ejecting by accident from a 20.000$ helicopter when flying 200meters above the ground and switching to manual fire)

Surely a script that carries out the function player setdammage 1 wouldnt deduct ANY points, and has already been made about 100 times biggrin_o.gif (suicide script: one of the oldest there is)

Using an addaction this can be done easily...

Have the addaction say

Kill Self

and then the script would simply be -

unitname setdammage 4

and poof. Your dead.

There always another horse to find thats kicking,Just think about makeing a addon,that when equiped it gives you the "Take Pill" or what ever action.And kills you in a matter of secounds.

its called catch the hand grenade or the rpg rocket jump, the only people that would be stuck would be those that went as a medic or a machine gunner but he's got so much ammo he can kill himself by firing into the ground cause of the funny indirect hit values bis put on bullets crazy_o.gif

Kneel, aim at your feet, flick the selector to "auto" or the next fastest, and turn in a circle, firing away. With practice, you can do it in one burst. Also, if you're near a dead body, stand right over it and shoot it a few times, you might die the same way from that. Shotguns are also good for suicide, as it only takes one blast at your feet.

Hmmm. I obviously spend to much time perfecting dubious tricks in OFP sad_o.gif

I know you can shoot youreself ,thats not the point.If you shoot youreself you loose 1 point ,the object of the pil is to not lose that point when you commit suicide.

If you were really lazy, you could use a trigger set to Radio Alpha that does setdammage 1 to the player.

No addon, no scripting, no nothing wink_o.gif
